I'm not sold on Brady Quinn either, but I still won't write him off as a Ryan Leaf or Tim Couch. He seems to have better pocket presence than I expected, but he has yet to play against a real NFL D. I still think that the best QB from the last two drafts will be Jay Cutler, but the jury is still out. |

Wow, you're very lucky to have met him. I have always thought that he is the best player in the NFL and that he should always have been the face of the NFL alongside Peyton Manning. It's easy to say now in the aftermath of the Vick scandal, but I have always thought that. Not just because Vick never had LT's charm, but LT is simply the better player.
OK... here are Badtz-Maru's Preseason Picks... AFC: East: Patriots (13-3) Central: Ravens (11-5) South: Colts (11-5) West: Chargers (12-4) Wild Cards: Bengals (10-6) Broncos (10-6) NFC: East: Eagles (11-5) Central: Bears (12-4) South: Saints (11-5) West: Seahawks (10-6) Wild Card: 49ers (9-7) Cowboys (10-6) AFC Championship Game: Patriots over the Chargers NFC Championship Game: Saints over the Bears Super Bowl: Patriots over the Saints |

Ok, just so I can put my age on display here... I remember being at the last game of the 1969 season (still AFL at that point) in what was known then simply as San Diego stadium (later known as Jack Murphy stadium, and now as Qualcomm). Sid Gillam was coach , John Hadl was QB, Lance Alworth THE receiver, along with Keith Lincoln and Gary Garrison as RB's. The game was against the Buffalo Bills and there was a young rookie by the name of OJ Simpson....lol Who would have guessed back in those days he would become what he has become?
I didn't go to another game till Dan Fouts and Air Coryell (sp?) were in business. Ahh good ol sandy eggroll. |

Why isn't anybody mentioning the Dallas Cowboys? They're stacked on defense what with DeMarcus Ware, Roy Williams, Terence Newman (when his heel heals, ha!), Chris Canty, Greg Elllis (if he comes back), and now playing Wade Philips' attacking 3-4. The offense looks promising with Tony Romo, the great combo of Julius Jones and Marion Barber at running back, All-Pros in Jason Witten, Terry Glenn, Terrell Owens, Flozell Adams, the huge Leonard Davis et.al.
I think the Cowboys are the strongest in the NFC East and I don't see that many strong teams in the NFC. AFC looks to be stronger again this year. |

I'm a tad out of touch with american football but I used to follow it quite closely. My team is (or was) the Miami Dolphins. I actually saw them play - the American Bowl championship at the old Wembley where they beat the 49ers (true story!). I have a terrible sinking feeling due to the fact that no-one has mentioned them in this thread once. Whatever happened to the Dolphins?
