User Flags
 

I hope you've seen the announcement about user flags? Most flags will display automatically, but if they don't, you will need to go into your UserCP, and choose your country from the drop-down menu one more time to match the correct flag name with your country name. Some of the names in the background have changed.

The little flags before seemed fine to me as identifiers. Now having a billowing one below my name makes feel like I'm supposed to change my sig line to "These colors don't run!", buy a pick-up, and start spouting off conspiracy theories about Ay-rabs and ordering Freedom Fries.

Technically, He is a little far north for most of that I think maybe only the pickup truck applies. As for me, well i live across the street form three of the four "King Of The Hill" Characters. Dear god I hope that does not make me number four.

Actually I looked for the Confederate flag, but alas i didnt see it.

I was surprised to see a confederate flag on some country side cabin when I visited Munich a few years ago.

Well it is down South technically speaking. South of Germany that is. But that's just a slight detail.
I also agree I really don't need a flying flag for the same reasons that Kent stated although we have other stuff in the Netherlands which shall be unnamed here.

The large size is bad enough, but animating them is just obnoxious. Using the TLD for identifications is just odd. I guess you can tell I’m not a fan.

I don't mind the flags, and like that they have a country abbreviation, for some of the more exotic locations.

Ah there we go at least I have something now that my country conforms to those accepted by the borg collective.
