the old site was a like a comfortable pair of slippers. This is just new for the sake of being new as far as I can tell.

Sorry to dissent as well. While I think the the job done by the Kendo World staff is fantastic, the new interface looks like another Microsoft product. Too much blue and gray. Tried changing it to no avail in the browser tools.

Well, I'm not a huge fan either, (its very bright) BUT that being said... I think overall it's a good thing.

Why?

Well, I've heard that pastel-like colors might have a more calming effect on people.

Maybe there will be less newbie/oldie bashings after this change. No more piling on everyone for unpopular comments.
The whole thing is more soothing to the psyche. (I think?). So maybe it will calm people down a bit more.

All's very well but where have the nationality/location flags gone to? I was rather fond of them. You could immediately see the location/nationality. Now we have to guess or investigate.

Looks good in my opinion. Although, a new banner would probably be in order, and also the URL Icon should change i think, the reflect the same colour scheme. Just my own opinion.
