Default Newcomer with a makeover?
I was reading in a gossip magazine last night about a celebrity that was หน้าใหม่ -- a newcomer.

Before I knew what newcomer was (before the use of the dictionary) I translated it two ways.... new face (maybe a makeover?) or new face (after one has been broken?)

And that last one got me thinking.... we certainly know about the concept of losing face and of breaking face..... is there also a concept of new face ....maybe if someone is able to recover after a bad break?
