Aren't there any girl kendoka in your dojo? I know there are several dojos in Mexico... So, I bet there are girls who do kendo too in your country.
You quoted me before you said that, so I'm assuming you're directing this at me...

There's one girl (emphasis on "girl") at my dojo. Plenty more all over Japan, girls and women alike.

Oh gosh, I'm really sorry! I didn't realise I'd quoted you. I thought I was quoting the OP. I wonder how I managed that... I was thinking he didn't have any girls in his dojo(before I realised he's not in one yet.) and so he wanted to know if girls did MA.

How about Waka-Sensei Midori-Ukyo Tanaka, 20th Soké of Toyama Ryu Iai?

Toyama-ryu was founded in 1925. There aren't any currently acknowledged soke AFAIK and if there were it would be a lot smaller number than 20.

How about Waka-Sensei Midori-Ukyo Tanaka, 20th Soké of Toyama Ryu Iai? Hmmmm ... while she is definitely a woman, and ostensibly does martial arts (being as how her training is related to Tanaka Fumon, I can't be sure), she is definitely not the "20th soke of Toyama Ryu iai" since Toyama ryu was only created in the late 1920s, and doesn't subscribe to the iemoto system the way that many koryu do. Therefore there is no such thing as a "Soke of Toyama Ryu Iai".

Ha, Neil beat me to it!

Who claimed she was a soke, much less the 20th one?

Note for Toshirou-san: Yudansha means Dan(equivalent to black belt) ranked kendoka.

Toshirou-san does not study kendo yet, so he may not know what that meant.

Wooooow... Did you photoshop that SanguineKendoka-san??

That was cool! I especially like the Hello Kitty! He is definitely a "real MA!" All blinged out too! (But he already obviously was before the bling! Lol... )

Toshirou-san,

Nevermind my post in this thread... I only found your dojo request after I read this thread and looked at your profile which said you do kendo(but don't, I know now.). So, I see why you asked now. To answer, yes, lots of girls do MA. I'm one of them. And, there are several others on the forum who do too. There are even some sensei who are girls. Are you a girl by chance? Just curious!

Kaoru

Supposed to be the company's founder's daughter. Why would you hire an outside model with an offspring like that?
More of her:

Too bad she's squeezed by 16x9 video exported as 4x3...
