Default In debt and salary cap breaches
Heard a whisper on 6pr this morning that one of our 9 clubs is in about $500 hundred thousand down the toilet with also salary cap breaches to come. Anyone else hear the rumour and shall we start a bit of a tab on which club it might be if true. I putting my money on the ducks

It wont be Peel thats for sure.

With the hundreds of thousands given to them and the extra cap concessions, they should break even.

I ruled out peel for that reason gasman and will change my tip from the ducks as they have BHP behind them. Will have to wait and see if there is any truth to the rumour.

Don't write the BHP Black Ducks off BTB just because they have the Big Australian behind them. That didn't stop them losing around $360k last season. They spend up big in their football dept i think i read recently than any other club in the WAFL and that includes Subiaco who have millions tucked away.. But maybe they have a hand shake agreement with BHP to write off any debts incurred in the pursuit of success?

i think BHP might have to answer to their shareholders if they were writing off the debts of a WAFL club..
though when you become Prez of Perth it is something you may ask your sponsors

Well BHP are still your major sponsor, i imagine they must still be writing cheques for your club despite the massive loss.

you imagine a lot of things, its the providing of factual information that you struggle with..
hopefully you use your imagination next year as Perth President - you'll need it..

Sorry princess last time i checked this was a chat forum...not a fricken law court. Go and conduct your trials elsewhere. Maybe if your club is the one under investigation they might be searching for a new president....maybe someone who knows all the facts like you?

the media have been peddling the Swans story about the salary cap since before the season started, Swans have had WAFL investigations in regards to their salary cap and their finances since the start of the year - its now August and still nothing has come out..how long does it take to investigate ?

Odds on its Swan Districts again.Fast becoming a problem child for the WAFC.Their colts are very ordinary and their ressies are fast becoming ordinary.Take out their big bucks foreign legion team from the league side and you have another ordinary team. Namely Hansen,Roach, Hams,Hildebrandt,Twomey,Davis,Riggio,Motlop,Geappe n and Jacky.

As opposed to $ubiaco & all there "home grown" players like- Bristow, Bloxsidge, Hassett, Douglas, Davidson, Mahoney, Chambers, Daye, Sinclair, Anthony & Phillips! Swans ressies are 4th by the way you dropkick!

Anthony is not a recruit. He plays for Subi through the AFL allocation system, just the same as Lachie Neale does for your mob. Of our recruits, only Daye has been taken from the AFL while Chambers played a few games of VFL many moons ago. Hardly what anyone would call an expensive bunch of recruits. Davidson and Douglas came very cheaply after experiencing limited opportunities at other WAFL clubs. In contrast , most of your lot of recruits were purchased straight out of the AFL and would have cost shitloads.Namely Hansen,Roach,Motlop,Riggio,Davis and Jacky.Hence the reason why me and others on thisforum have suggested it is S.D. that is the club most likely to be in the news for all the wrong reasons,as they were at the end of last season with a 360,000 dollar loss.

quite ironic a Subi supporter having a go at another club considering the points system was introduced as a way of limiting Subi and the white goods recruiting that made a mockery of the salary cap..!!

And now it's your turn to put up with the same innuendos that we used to cop week in week out. Best get used to it.
