50+ points in a quarter
Yeah, random stat, I know... but what can I say? I love high-scoring games of footy. Anyway, since 1898 there have been 2148 quarters where a team has scored 50+ or more. Here's the breakdown by team; Code: Code:

Just insane.
The interesting thing is that if you look at a similar graph from the SANFL and the VFL/AFL, the same patterns emerge. http://img89.imageshack.us/img89/2683/pointsq.png Cheers to safooty.net for that image (http://www.safooty.net/forum/viewtopic.php?f=17&t=33544). |

This might be a bit tough but i wonder if theres ever been a case where heading into round 12 the team on the bottom of the ladder has its only 2 wins have come against the top two sides, in AWAY games? ....don't reckon that would be too common in the last 100 years.

Definitely a tough one. Wouldn't have thought it had happened before!

Here's a few more for tonight.
Not sure how this information will translate to a graph, but here's the highest and lowest scores each season from 1898 to so far this season: http://i103.photobucket.com/albums/m...6/High-Low.jpg |
In terms of season tallies - here's two more tables. Biggest points differences in average for and average against in a home and away season.
