Default Latest Proposal for reserves teams
Where do you start with this. This is just getting ridiculous now. Brett Raponi summed it up beautifully labelling it a stunt and also a lack of respect, which it is. They're just like a couple of children throwing a tantrum now.
And i'm starting to think there may be a bit of conspiracy theory to all this. I reckon Nisbett and Rosich are quite content to crush the wafl as a spectator competition and its integrity with an eye on those current 15000 odd wafl club members, because they will have alot more tickets and memberships to sell in 5 years time and their clubs are ruled by the almighty dollar. Its big business and they're ruthless businessmen. ...Jeez, you'd think the Eagles would be convinced by now that the current system works pretty well, they've had reasonable success over 26 years havent they?
I urge and trust all Club presidents to hold their ground on these selfish, disrespectful bullies.

They should honestly just lobby the AFL for a reserves league and leave it at that.

Would have more luck.

They should join the WAAFL, they can find players from that comp who will be happy to be their top up players and play for their own club when they are not required.

What can you say? Money talks...

I wholeheartedly agree. Feels as though WAFL and SANFL (and to a lesser extent NTFL) are the only leagues with heart and soul atm.

Thats what draws me to the WAFL, that heart... that community... something thats been massacred out of the VFL.

They will get their way, and they will destroy the WAFL.

And I and many others will go to eagles games and barrack for the opposition.... loudly. Many of us will make an absolute mockery of gameday at Subiaco Oval & it will screw with the heads of eagles supporters within a 30 metre radius. I am a member & I have my 4 tickets. I can do with them what I want E V E R Y S I N G L E W E E K ....

Long live traditional suburban footy.

All WAFL members and supporters should boycott the Eagles and Dockers games. If they are members, don't resign. How would they like that?
