Form Ladder
Who would have thought?
ROUND 10-17 LADDER 1. Peel 5-2 119% 2. WP 5-2 110% 3. Cl 4-2 111% 4. EP 3-3 109% 5. SF 3-3 105% 6. Su 3-4 96% 7. EF 3-4 93% 8. SD 2-4 85% 9. Per 2-5 79% This would have to be the first time ever that Peel have been the best performed side over an extended period. They've won 5 of their last 7, including wins over two top four sides and their two losses have been by 8 and 13 points. And all of this is on the back of losing their first eight. Let's hope for their sake they can keep the majority of their squad together for next year and they'll be a genuine contender for the top four, if they're not already a sneaky little chance for this year... |
Interesting stuff mate. Looking at that, Peel have to be a shot for this year if that form line continues.

R 18 v Claremont at Bendigo
R 19 v Subiaco at Bendigo R 20 BYE R 21 v South Frem at Fremantle R 22 v Perth at Bendigo R 23 v Claremont at Claremont R 24 v Subiaco at Bendigo Strange ending to the season with CL and S twice. |
At this stage you'd mark them down for a win against Perth and they'd be a fair chance on current form to beat Subi at home. Those Subi matches could possibly determine 4th spot if one side could win both of those games. Peel would need at least one if not two more wins, maybe catch Claremont off guard after the Foxtel Cup win??? They only lost to South at Freo by 8 points a month or so ago. If they had pinched one or two of their opening eight they'd be every chance.
Wonder if East Fremantle's travel (Karratha and Geraldton in the space of three weeks) will open the door for Subi or Peel to take 4th??? |
Peel are ticking a few boxes right now for sure. Might give the four a bit of a shake. Will more than likely spice it up a bit anyway.

The perth curse has struck again.
