Updated. Very low figure for Peel's first game back at the new Rushton. Disappointing.

Interesting re attendances Ben...Swans perhaps have some "fair weather" supporters amongst their crew with a noticeable drop-off in attendance from last year...Claremont is just atrocious for a top 2 team, but then again they have never been well supported

Yeah true. EF is the one I'm really worried about. 3 acceptable crowds per year. Nothing more now.

I've got nothing against East Fremantle by the way.

true....where would they be without the derbies??? reckon a lot of it, has got to do with the state of Moss street...its basically in almost dis-repair with appalling facilities...reckon it keeps a lot of people away, but I'm wondering what the state of the membership base is compared to other clubs?

Yeah that oval puts me off. Sat in the outer for a while a few weeks ago. the bank was crawling with ants. Hundreds of them. We moved around but it didn't matter. They were everywhere. We were actually pulling them off our skin. The toilets are out of use. The clock wasn't working. The only good thing about the place was the shark pit.

One would swear the council doesn't want them there. They should move to Bullcreek. Not too far from the city. Yet in the heart of their zone. Next to the train also. Probably far better for the majority of their 14's, 15's, 16's development squads and colts also.

Yeah, I dont reckon their membership base would be too flash either. I really hope they find a way to rebuild their fan base.

With the amount of kids they produce for the draft every year they will always be in a sound financial state. And EF oval is a hell of a lot better than Freo oval. The stand at Freo oval is 40m from the boundary line and I would rather a grass bank with ants than a concrete jungle in the outer.

I would be willing to bet that they have more members than Subiaco.

I wouldn't know: but certainly they dont have more regular supporters anymore. That can be seen by the weekly figures.

Having said that, Subiaco's increased numbers are coming off the back of a long period of success. A period of poor results could see that diminished. Are Subi's new supporters in it for the long haul? Time will tell. Because I don't see us climbing back up the ladder in the next 2 years at least.
