Default Mock Draft 2.0
The Rockets still have three picks at the teens at this point, and I'm not in the business of predicting trades for mock purposes....

1. Hornets- Davis The no brainer of no brainers. Davis and Gordon give the Hornets a dangerous inside/out duo to work around, and that's before bringing in the #10 pick or any free agents.

2. Bobcats-Thomas Robinson I have to believe that this is the way Cho goes if he keeps the pick. Odds are he'll trade out and still get his man later. Robinson provides a legit inside scorer to go along with Biyambo's defense inside, and an improvement over Tyrus Thomas.

3. Wizards- Bradley Beal Still holding their breath hoping Beal will be here for them. Beal fills their starting offense's biggest hole, and provides the outside shooting the team has really lacked. The Wiz are crossing their fingers that pairing Beal with Wall will allow Wall to finally reach his potential.

4. Cavs- Harrison Barnes Cav's get a wingman for Irving, and I think, especially if he doesn't go top three, that this pick may end up being a steal. Barnes apparently is a fuel guy, like Jordan and Bryant, that wants to prove he's the best. If Beal goes ahead of him, I'd expect good things for the Cavs when they play the Wizards.

5. Kings- Micheal Kidd-Gilchrist Perfect player for the Kings, he'll always work hard to be the best, and pairing him with fellow former Wildcat Cousins could help to get the best out of him as well. The shot is not there, and neither is the ball handling, but you just know he'll work on both until they are there.

6. Blazers- Damian Lillard Small surprise, but the Blazers really need some help in the backcourt, and I felt that Lillard was less likely to bust on them then Drummond. Size can be addressed later.

7. Warriors- Andre Drummond They traded for Bogut, but still are hot for guys that can defend and rebound. Drummond provides this, and the team hopes that Marc Jackson is the man who can get through to Drummond.

8. Raptors- Dion Waiters Toronto adds a slashing scorer to it's roster of jump shooters. This team is not far off from having the pieces needed to contend.

9. Pistons- John Henson The Pistons add an athletic shot blocker to pair with their less than athletic but skilled center, Monroe. Dude needs to add some weight, although the Pistons could trot Henson out with Austin Day and Prince for a lineup that looks like they haven't eaten in months.

10. Hornets- Austin Rivers The rumor is Rivers has a promise here. Me personally, I'd grab Perry Jones or Leonard and try hitting a home run.

11. Blazers- Meyers Leonard Blazers get a big man to pair with Aldridge that can run the court and actually shoot a little.

12. Bucks- Jeremy Lamb Bucks grab a guard/forward who may be as good or better than some of the players at the same position already drafted. Freakish wingspan will make Skiles happy, just has to break out of that UCONN malaise.

13. Suns- Terrence Ross Ross is one of my favorite players in this draft. Shooters who can get their own shot are less likely to bust. Suns need solid players here.

14. Rockets- Tyler Zeller Rockets add a center here, either to improve their own roster or a roster down in Florida. I'm not the biggest Zeller fan, but he gives the Rockets some size to work with.

15. 76ers- Perry Jones III I'm running this draft using Chad Ford's tiers as a guideline, trying to get the teams the top need available by whatever tier is left. Jones, who likely will get most of his minutes at power forward, is a better fit here than the other tier 4 players, and may be one of the three most talented players available in this draft.

16. Rockets- Jared Sullinger Back issues have most teams running, but with three picks and Scola on board, the Rockets can take a chance and plug Sully onto their bench, giving their second unit some inside punch.

17. Mavs- Kendall Marshall The last tier 4 guy, he goes to Dallas to replace the guy he's most often compared to. I'm not the biggest Marshall fan, but this seems about the right spot for him.

18. Rockets- Royce White I was tempted to put Melo here, but with Budinger traded, this could be a big upgrade for the Rockets and their rebuilt front court. White has the talent to start right away.

19. Magic- Fab Melo They'll be needing a big man, and Melo might be one of the best from this draft down the road. They really need a bit of everything, though.

20. Nuggets- Quincy Miller Miller is a guy I feel is pretty underrated in this draft. Karl will get the most out of his versatility.

21. Celtics- Arnett Moultrie If the Celtics lose Garnett and/or Bass, Moultrie wouldn't be the worst option as a consolation prize.

22. Celtics- Tony Wroten, Jr. Celtics grab Wroten believing that Doc Rivers can make him into a player, and they've had success with points and broken shots in the past.

23. Hawks- Terrence Ross Ross gives them another option if they feel they need to trade/amnesty either Marvin Williams or Josh Smith.

24. Cavs- Moe Harkless Moe gives the Cavs another wing option to run the break with Irving, Thomas, and Barnes. The Cavs will be young, but they should be exciting on the break, at least.

25. Grizzlies- Marquis Teague Griz bring in some point guard depth, a player who may end up being better than Conley someday, and is probably already better than Josh Selby.

26. Pacers- Draymond Green I'm not a huge fan of undersized players without any position, but the Pacers put a premium on grit and work ethic. Green has both.

27. Heat- Andrew Nicholson Brings some size behind Bosh, and a nice outside shooting option to pass to as well as a coveted "stretch 4".

28. Thunder- Jeff Taylor Thunder adds another athlete that can defend.

29. Bulls- Jared Cunningham Scoring guard that gets steals in bunches, Thibadeau's type of player.

30. Warriors- Tyshawn Taylor Warriors go to the back court with this pick, nabbing a guy who worst case is their backup point, best case pushes Curry to the bench.
