You have four players who are arguably the top four in the league;

Kobe - Los Angeles
LeBronna - Cleveland
Dwight - Orlando
Carmella - Denver

Along with a somewhat decent supporting cast;

Pau Gasol - Los Angeles
the referees - Cleveland
Hedo Turkolu - Orlando
Chauncey Billups - Denver

I think this has been etched out in the preseason, and it is just coming to fruition right now.
...and what did the Grizzlies get for Gasol?

Was it one or two bags of gym socks?

The league used to step in on bad trades.

The gym socks are being held up in customs.

. . . and getting worst, last nights game FTs Denver: 49, Lakers 35 and the night before Cavs 35, Magic 51.

Don't look at the disparity, look at the amount. Fans want to see the players not the refs!

it's 'amazing' how the nba and nhl mirror each other.
Agreed .....as a sports official myself, its hard to support pro officials/sports whose adherence to the rules of the game are only applicable to the time of season, teams playing or superstar in that game....

NBA and NHL seem to be the greater culprits......

Taxes are the biggest scam EVER!!!! Let me elaborate . . .

I live in California and every year, like all states, we consumers have to re-register our cars. EVERY YEAR, at a rate of about $200.00 per car (est). In this state there are more cars than people here. California population is over 33 million, times (X) that by $200.00, and the sum is $66 billion a year. I would understand if I’m selling a car (changing ownership) but as I am the initial registered owner why is it that every year after that I have to re-register and pay even though I’m the owner? . . . state revenue. Sorry just venting.
It'd be $6.6 billion, not $66 billion. Not that this is really the place for bitching about your taxes.

Not my taxes, taxes in general, but I get your point.

The refs are trying to ruin one of the best post seasons in a long time. But even they haven't been able to do that

In the Lakers game fouls at the start of the game were not called at all and it would seems that the refs were going to let them play, but by the end of the game even ticky-tack fouls were being called and ruined the flow of the game. No consistency w/ the refs, horrid!!! Oh, and how do they miss the M. Williams throwing the ball @ D. Howard - or - the deliberate trip of Kobe by Jones?????

i figured i was watching an exciting ending, que lebron drive... he trips, foul called, hits two fts and we have OT. I don't really have a vested interest either way, but it was a bull shit call. Yes, that is a complaint.

The officials didn't want Howard to look bad missing the FT's. Especially after calling a foul for LeBron tripping over himself the previous possesion.

i'm not sure what you're referring to. I just came in for the end of this game and my post was in reference to Lebrons last drive of regulation

nevermind, you're talking about magics inbounds afterwards.

Looks like the refs really want the Cavs to win.

Can't say I'm upset about that.

Howard can't get within 5 yards of LeBron going to the basket without getting called for a foul. So much for the DPOY getting any respect from the refs on the defensive end.
