Good point.

I like it better when we press the west coast to deal with other's preferences.
I would love to live on the West coast and watch a game at 5 every night they are on the east coast. I can't stay up past 10:30 anymore.

Agreed. It'd be nice to wake up at 9:00 in the fall and watch football all day as well.

I love 12 & 3 o'clock kickoffs.....but then, that's all I know. I need to sleep in on many a Sunday mornings.

I'always wondered how the eastcoasters stay up so late for news and Leno/Letterman.

I'm thinking most news is 11 and LL at 1130?

Wonder if Samstone is there enjoying this in person?
YES I DID!! Thanks for asking!

I won't do the walk up thing again. I usually do it to Miami Heat games because they don't sell out all the time, or even if they do there's always tons of tickets available without too much hassle from scalpers, but I was a little naive in realizing it was a FINALS GAME!

And that means FAKE TICKETS EVERYWHERE!

It was quite an ordeal trying to get tickets. There were quite a few sellers 1hr to 45 minutes before the game, then we grabbed a quick bite (we both were starving coming straight from work) and when we came back 15 minutes later the sellers were gone, and now the demand was going up. People everywhere looking for tickets and the scalpers disappeared. They were apparently unloading their inventory and not wanting to wait around till tip off.

There were so many fake tickets out there, and it was confusing because the real tickets didn't look like regular season tickets, they were very different. No date, no times, nada.

To make matters worse, the heat scanned (beeped) tickets, they didn't rip them, so people were selling game 1 tickets for today. And the stupid Game 1 was in small print, that was the ONLY difference. One guy stapled 2 tickets and conveniently the staple covered the tiny "Game 4" sign.

Game 4 sounds legit right???? NO! Game 2 was the real game because it was the SECOND home game!

People were trying to sell me Game 1, Game 2, Game 4, oh man it was horrible trying to figure out what was real! And of course they are looking at you in the face swearing on their mother's grave they are real.

I started calling my ticket guy I've used before and he was sold out, I called him a second time later to ask him what's a real ticket look like and just then he got a call for 2 tickets that became available. I had to run across the stadium now I had to run back (I got a good workout). He was a good guy, he walked us up to the gate and made sure the tickets beeped. That's a legit dude, the other guys were scared to do that. I owe him a tip, because I have to tip him for a walk up. I'll owe him on the next one.

What an ordeal. The ticket guy said at least 300 people had already bought fake tickets. That fucking sucks. And there were cops on every corner so the scalpers were nervous as hell, it was very different from a usual heat game.

The game itself was awesome. I really never expected the heat to make it to the Finals, and I never expected them to blow out the Mavs either.

I don't know if you could see it on TV but whenver dirk shot FT's they'd put up goofy pictures or poses of David HassleHoff on the screen. Sometimes baywatch stuff or other silly stuff. And the crowd would start "Da-vid Hassle-Hoff." That was amusing, I'm sure others found it irritating as hell, but it was funny.

You think David ever thought he'd hear his name being chanted in a sports arena during a championship series some time in his life? Better yet, when he wasn't even AT the arena???

The crowd was really into the game and really pumped up. That was surprising. I'm pretty critical of Miami fans, they are pretty poor sports fans. It's not their fault, but so few are from Miami (myself a prime example) people tend to not be big fans of the home team. Even those who are they are quite casual. People don't show up until the second quarter, take an extended halftime break, then leave in the 4th quarter. The place looks half empty most nights because the fans never show up for 4 quarters.

Last night was very impressive. I had never seen the AAA so loud so pumped up. It may have taken the team to get to the championship round, but at least the crowd finally figured out how to rock the walls of that place.

Rotary mentioned before, I'm also not a Williams Fan nor a Walker fan, I was never much of a Shaq fan either, but I've always loved Wade. When he showed up, that's what got me to start liking the Heat. (I would still go bucks over heat, but that's a different topic).

One thing I personally enjoyed was watching Devon Harris VS Wade. That was fun to watch, or even Devon on G.P. Devon left Payton in his dust a couple of times. Gotta love Devon Harris.

It was a great time, I get to cross "Attend NBA finals game" off my list of things I have to experience sometime in my life.

Sweet story Sam....When I went to Heat/Bulls a little back, the crowd took a bit to get there (place was filled by the end of the 1st...say about 3/4 for the 1st)....but then it turned into a madhouse...I was impressed with the arena and the crowd...The game I went to was in doubt until about 5 minutes to go....so the place was filled to the brim to the end....

12 to 3 is the best football times. I don't really like 1 and 4 on the east coast now. Central time zone is the best for tv. Primetime is 7 to 9 not 8 to 10

Great stuff......sounds like a fun night...if you're a White Heat fan.

The ticket scalping sounds crazy over there. The local authorities have really been cracking down on that here.....so they say.

Local news is reporting Jerry Stackhouse has been suspended for game 5 for his run-in with Shaq.

I'm not surprised.

Must be time for another arena to be built in Miami.

It sure worked for the Marlins.

One they have looked pretty sweet backed right up to the bay or inner coastal waterway.

I think Avery will be fined as well for his comments about the suspension. He's like the only one surprised by this.

His comments certainly surprised me. So unlike him.

I thought it was a very flagrant action by Stackhouse.

Poseys foul on Kurt Heindrich?? in the bulls series wasn't as flagarant as the foul by stack and he was suspended as well.
