And this:
But, as I said earlier, Ajith donning Mohanlal’s role itself is reason enough to diss this.
Indeed! How much ever the director is serious about the remake, the casting is worse enough to nullify it all.

nIngaLum 6 DVD set vAngunELA? I watched Sahib, Bibi aur GhulAm first. Surprisingly held my interest despite the dissance.
no 6 pack, iyam moserbaer 2 pack VCD .....

watched rocket singh - very disappointing.......very naive and sloppy.......there was hardly any timing in the dialogues - Jaideep Sahni ........chak de! though is a bit twisted to convenience - evalavu crisp-a irukkum ....there were couple of detailing while setting up the "fresher in sales office" milieu were eye catching.......thats it, other than that, narration was just promises of a good director but he broke the promises too often with oscillating story points....there were couple of superb performances - sales manager nitin(Naveen kaushik) and MD Puri (Naresh Chodhary - the guy who comes in ads).........

Ranbir kapoor - thaadi vechha kalli .........he had 2 express only 3 emotions throughout the movie, awe, despair and triumph.........i couldnt find any difference in wake up sit and this performance.........rishi kapoor payyanukku idhu podhum

nesstu superstar Beeru dhAn theriyumla. He has captured the north indies mass(as in family audience that is SRK's stronghold). Inexplicable. Or, explicable considering that this section is the same audience that considers Muni kappoor a great actor!

Watched snatches of JTYJN this weekend. She was very good. Enna quwick espressions.

Abbas writing-ku reward kudukkaama, naansense.

Imran cries on his mother's shoulder. Nasrudeen Shah's "sheesh" expression

oh thats my fav scene - the camera is placed behind the mom-son and thats the first time he "realises" that he is in love with Aditi.....beautifully done but abbas makes a mockery on this himself - ala goundar ....JTYJN should be declared a cult classic

SRK's stronghold is exclusively his, he will be losing sleep over what you just said.

Congrats Amir!

Such a big award in lesser than 40 films tells much about your exponential career growth in recent years!

I salute you for producing Lagaan, Taare Zameen Par!
