He is excellent in classical dance, coz he's a trained dancer ...
But I don't just mean that. ....In any forms of dance, he tops ... Be it the disco kind or Kuthu type or anything ... Hez very innovative and does it in an interesting way ... Itz always a pleasure watching him dance in songs ...

Vijay is good, I agree ... But he often does the same steps and in kuthu typez, sometimes he is just too much, close to be called crassly ....

for ex:- Compare Kamal's Annathe aaduraar , singaari sarakku, with vijay's kuthu dances .... u'll see the diff ....

U mite know that Kamal had been the assistant dance master in a MGR(vaathiyaar ) film, before he got his break as an actor ....

just shaking some hip and moving a leg is not dancing IMHO.....dancer should carry a great emotion while dancing and in that aspect Kamal is the king.... .....maybe madhuri dixit, shobana,vineeth can be compared to kamal, but i cant see anyone from this gen putting effort in this angle.....

vijay is gud but he really needs to put expression on his face while dancing........

btw, thala is doing bharatantyam in Godfather, i'm sure he wud try to emulate Kamal...let's see how that turns out to be.....

forgot to mention Arjun who has a great smile whenever he dances.....

NTR, Dance is not just fast steps and trembling their legs as if they have got a fit.... for ex in that Annathe aaduraar song Kamal'll do a "bulti" (not on floor) ,but using 2 other guys' hands as support ... I donno if itz tough or not, but what am saying is its much interesting to watch than ppl just shaking their legs ..... Ther r so many instances in Kamal songs like that .... :P

if you want to see him dance, watch kamaladalam. he may be not able to do the same dance as he did in his early days. he is not the best dancer, but not the worst also.
