many doesnt know kamal's movies are shown in many film festivals and they bag awards

Why some very successful indian films (from an Indian point of view) are not shown in Cannes Festival ? Are they afraid to be ridiculised by foreigners

? And why are Tamil Films like Chandramurki of Rajini never shown to foreigners in this Festival ?
