Default Anaganaga O Dheerudu - Walt Disney | Siddharth | Shruthi
Anaganaga O Dheerudu (English: Once Upon a Warrior) is an upcoming Indian Telugu-language fantasy-adventure film directed by K.Prakash Rao, in his first mainstream film. Produced by his father, veteran director K. Raghavendra Rao at a budget of 27 crore rupees, it features music composed by duo Salim-Sulaiman, cinematography by Soundar Rajan and editing by Shravan Katikaneni. The film stars Siddharth, Shruti Haasan and Harshita as protaganists with Lakshmi Manchu making her debut in a negative role.

The fantasy adventure film is set in the fictitious teardrop shaped land of Sangarashtra and explores the inseparable bond between man and the myths that remain relevant even today. The story focuses on the journey of a nine year old girl with special healing powers and her quest to save Sangarashtra from the tyranny of an evil Queen, played by Lakshmi Manchu. The girl portrayed by Hrishitha is protected by a blind swordsman played by Siddharth who faces great adversity and helps the girl on her epic journey. Shruti Haasan plays a gypsy woman whose destiny is tied into that of the swordsman and plays his love interest.

Pre-production for Anaganaga O Dheerudu began in June 2009 and the cast of the film was finalized soon after, with the film creating expectations as it marked the debuts of noted star children Prakash Rao, Shruti Haasan and Lakshmi Manchu. Furthermore, the film marked a return to a rarely filmed genre in Indian cinema, the fantasy adventure. Shooting began in October 2009, and took place across India, whilst scenes were also shot in Turkey.During the production stage, Walt Disney Pictures agreed to co-produce the film with Rao's home banner, a Bellyful of Dreams Entertainment, marking the first South Indian production by Disney. The film is set to be released worldwide in January 2011 in Telugu and other regional languages.

The Telugu language movie, which will be dubbed in Tamil is expected to broaden the company's appeal to southern India and is being produced by Mr. K. Raghavendra Rao who is renowned for his expertise and experience in developing films for the South and is directed by national award winning director Mr. Prakash Rao Kovelamudi.

though climax was a bit stretched etc, i personally liked Magadheera a lot, neatly done in comparison to the much more expensive Jodhaa Akbar etc... expecting a lot from this movie, esp backed by Walt Disney
