Atleast Danush is somewhat honest, down to earth, and attempting some stuff. Simbu, OTOH, delivers nothing, talks too much, both performance and BO is missing. Ennamo Screen Presence, athu ithunnu solraanga. Ennatha! how long can one try to survie in this heavy competition, just with Screen Presence?!?

sullaan time dhanush'kum osthi time simbu'kum comparision podringalae selva... Anyway, even if you feel Sullan was during his young age, films like Padikkathavan are as bad as Osthi. I have seen both. |

I was referring to Director's failure while you are talking about actor's film selection and performance. But simbu... Eppa paru korangu settaiyum konangi thanamum panitu irukan... |

Bad movies are ok selva.....but actors can still manage to perform decently... Also, I don't see any difference between Padikkathavan Dhanush & Osthi Simbu |

Again, my reply was for the *naalaya cinema* comment only. He used Simbu and I am saying Dhanush is at the same level. We are not talking about relative hits/flop/average to judge naalaya cinema. did i say we need to judge based on hits/flops... i only spoke about the performing scenes in the flop movies, to judge naalaya cinema... |

IMHO, they are at same level ONLY there. That apart, Danush is surely Meters ahead(if not miles) of Simbu. And even after 10 years, Simbu is gonna remain the same. He will sustain, at max. I don't see any sign of he going towards doing interesting stuff, be it commercial or class stuff.
For past some time., Situation is such that Even Jeyam Ravi can easily bounce simbu in BO. And guess what, i don't think he will even feel exceeding Simbu at BO as an achievement. |
