Actually, why is Dharani so highly rated? Racy, pacy...hmmm...Dhill second half is terrible. Ghilli...if the tamil version was a line by line remake of Okkadu, then I fail to see the plaudits it gets(including from so-called elitist, Baradwaj Rangan). Dhideer Dhideernu paattu, climax just munnnadi, Charminar-la hiding-la irukkarache paattu. Vague attempts at creating tension with chappai explanations. Except for the high-adrenalin Hero-puts-knife-on-heroine's-neck-to-escape-villain followed by the chase, the rest is laughable. If that laughable scene of Bhoomika posing as one of the dolls was retained in Tamil, then...what to say?

I thought you posted it in a wrong thread
This about pictures aka photos i think Anyway, karuthu sollanumna, I agree with the points on Ghillli But, Dhool wasn't a remake i guess. That was quite satisfying with a racy screenplay. Dhill, yes, konjam artificial'a scenes/expressions irukkum. But still, a good movie. Ghill - Credit goes to Original Okadu's director and of course to Vijay for his fabulous performance. Entertaining |

Okkadu wasnt racy at all. Climax also chappai. Same with Dhill. Dhool was relatively better. With this portfolio, how does Dharani get the reputation he has? (I thought that flop telugu movie with Pavan Kalyan was much better in terms of raciness - the fact that he didnt have a heroine helped very much!) |

Plum,
Adhai dhaan naanum solrEn, he did not deserve that title, but he was better than all others in the early noughts. After Suresh Krissna failed to deliver a decent masala in AV/Baba the masala fans of TN badly needed a new guy. And apart from Villain even KSR was struggling I think. Gilli original pArthathillai but Vijay was good in comedy. |
