I don't know if there is a distinction between "good" and "bad" or what not. But for superstars and a big celebrity, he isn't particularly bad. Adhan "dejent human being" bit-u. :P

Big B is a shrewd guy with good business mentality. When ABC corporation conducted the Miss world show in bangalore, it failed a bit. But he exaggerated that and he said he incurred heavy losses because of the opposition in India and all those crap. He did not pay the money to the institutions from where he borrowed the money. Later on when some magazine declared him as one of the rich celebrities, he immediately declined that statement. Because he was worried for the fact that all those lending institutions will come back after him. I won't call it as bad but good business mentality.

"I saw a powerpoint presentation where they showed a six-lane highway and I was impressed" - appidingra maadhiri yEdhO oru defence kuduthaapla

In what could possibly be possibly related news, Samajwadi Party sacked Amar Singh.
He accepted out of humility. :P

There is a marked difference between being the state's Ambassador and being Modi's own ambassador. you make it sound latter. Very clever.

Btw how does that make him "bad" per se.

Oh no wonder Congress bashes him.

So...?

Bala hates this northi lexicon of "_________ human being". So do I! :P

Well Modi's 'sins' have been forgiven in popular memory by virtue of the fact that he has been reelected. And his card is that 'he brought in development'. That is what AB is promoting, the distinction is not that clear, is it ?

Btw how does that make him "bad" per se.
It sure does not. What I often say is "a" perspective. May not necessarily be mine.

When Modi walked out Karan Thapar I for one was quite glad. My anti- anti-establishmentarianism scares me some times

Oh no wonder Congress bashes him.
Oh that is a longer story. Post Rajiv he was left to fend for himself and the bitterness grew.

That is what AB is promoting, the distinction is not that clear, is it ? But it doesn't automatically stipulate your statement now, does it?

Oh that is a longer story. That's more or less I'm alluding to, by "no wonder"

I'm sounding super-defensive of Amitabh even if I wasn't a massive fan and had regularly trashed him in the past. Says it all really, by psychoanalyzing this sudden benignity, I admit I actually am quite fond of him.

But it doesn't automatically stipulate your statement now, does it? You mean the 'aka' ?

Well that was precisely to counter AB's defence on the lines like "heck the two or not related at all"

In view of personal messages to stop digressions and respect the thread, I apologize.

I have the book, The Name is Rajnikanth, in Thamizh. My mother had read it and being a massive fan, had been endorsing it since.

Well that was precisely to counter AB's defence on the lines like "heck the two or not related at all" Listen, the media does enough witch-hunting.

He had read Modi's letter and accepted it out of humility. Like he admits it so himself in various interviews, he is easily swindled, and politics & political correctness isn't his forte. Further evidence.

To sing a song on someone's laurels why do you have to put down another great personality? Big B "over hype"-ungala? Ok Ok

As an actor he has his limitations for sure, but he is defintley not overhyped or pathetic as you are putting it in your post.

TA - Agree Big B comparison from Gayathri was unwarranted or doesn't make sense like 6' vs 5' 9'', voice etc etc...

This is some kind of wind-up surely!

I have no hidden agenda here. I don't agree with media assassination of Amitabh or celebrities for that matter. Sure, you brought that hot issue right-up. In response, I make it amply clear that I'm not making a case for "perfection" or benevolence. Rather his own imperfections and failings at politics. And foolish decisions too.

Sure your problems in this issue isn't misguided and misplaced. If you're expecting for any kind of acknowledgment. Well, consider you've already got one !

Plum post maadhiri...Unless stated otherwise :P is to be assumed.

I found Amitabh's defense amusing. That is pretty much all I was trying to say. maRRapadi I too don't enjoy the 'witchhunt' of celebs. Heck, I even said I didn't enjoy the 'witchhunt' of Modi and liked it when he gave it back to karan thapar.

Of course, I was amused too. I did notice your stance in Modi-Johar thing. In fact you had talked about Johar in other threads. I'm irked by him as well. So I'm in agreement there.

But this Amitabh thing is blown out into modern day Riefenstahl proportions. To be frank, I'm kinda pissed at media foremost.

I had already said this before. Your writing is both enticing and menacing in equal measures. Especially with the repartee.

Ok so we shall resolve our differences by agreeing to annihilate Arnab Goswami - now that is something purely enticing.

On that pleasant note..nijamaavE
