irundhaalum 'fan' appidingradhu periya vaarthai illaiyA ?
I liked him in Indira. Arguably his most convincing villain performance. Else he used to come close to the hero and speak through his teeth and look at the ceiling when doing that. He briefly tried his hand at being a hero in ventures like Chinna Muththu. |

Chinna Muthu theatre-la paatheengaLA They also screened many dubbed films of Rajini's. I remember one with Jeethendra, when Rajini was still with side-vaakku. Walked out halfway. I did sit through Chinna Muthu, though. :P |

Rajini did a lot of those films in the 80s that they show on Raj Digital Plus. To watch them in a theatre is the laudable grit of a fan.
In one of those movies Hrithik Roshan comes as a child artist and is - I am not exaggerating - stamped to death by Danny Denzongpa. What I would have given to have that remade in Tamil with Baby Shalini. |
