I'm looking to buy beauty salon equipment (preferably new, but used is acceptable). Any info is greatly appreciated. Prefer to not travel further than Puerto Plata/Santiago, but willing to go to the capital if necessary.

just look in the newspaper, these are always going out of Business, its better to buy the used

Plaza Llama in Santiago sells some new....

Get the Listin Diario. Look in the Clasificados section. There are "always" items offered.
Look for Negocios, Equipo de Belleza and so forth...

La Sirena in POP has a pretty health selection, too...

Try Tienda Denys in Santiago, on calle Beller with not sure if calle Duarte or Calle Espana. The basic equipment ( 1 hair washer, 1 chair, 1 rolera, etc) in that store averages out to about $25,000 pesos.
