my typical daily routine... as an seo / web dev/ iphone/android developer and im'er in the uk
answer customers emails - continuous throughout the day.. 8:30 am check rankings on positionly - explain to customers ranking drops / increases 9:00 am begin manual web 2.0s / start up software on vps 9:10 am write some manual spun content for 5-6 sites.. (outsource or write myself depending on mood) 9:30 am - 10:30am - bookmark/ push some social signals/ build some tier 2's to web 2.0s (depending on how many i have built) make coffee!!! 11:00am - check affiliate commissions on 3 sites. 11:10 am - scrape emails from yellabot for niche's in the uk ready to create emails 11:20 am - run mailer programs make coffee!!! 11:30 am - run bot programs for mailer and everything else. 12:00 - have another coffee / lunch / drive out in town for an hour.. 1:00pm - work on customers requests / support emails for my web dev. answer new leads from my seo site. / generate reports the usual 1:30pm - build backlinks manually using dropmylink and a few other methods.. make coffee!!! 2:00pm - upload customers images to pinterest/tumblr/instagram/facebook/twitter/wordpress/ using hootsuite for each customer (10x) 3:00pm - start work on manual sites (developing and building more niche sites / affiliate insurance sites for myself - allow 2 hrs per day) 5:00pm - check instagram, shoutout to kids and gain $$ from affiliate commissions when they do what i ask. 6:00pm - continue working on websites / coding php / developing my iphone apps further etc etc, check rankings and reporting for high end customers. 7:00pm (varies on days which are busy) - sign off, time for the gym or see the gf (repeat all week) - seeing it written down, its actually boring as sin but it pays off.. better than working for a company and you only have yourself to blame when things go wrong!! goods - good music all day and no one to piss you off in the "office" bads - little lonely, but then again i do have skype conversations from my clients in costa rica and other things/ promoting my customers sites is quite fun!!! hardware - 1x macbook pro (latest) iphone 4, 3gs, 3 android tablet ipad, anything i can use to post quickly on social networks. main tower pc act's as my little bot mailer running off private proxies 1x vps - i pay equivalent of 0 for as its on my friends hosted 100mbps internet backbone. |

always a forced wake up the earliest i can.
check the emails right away and deal with the emergencies (if any). if no emergencies, check the affiliates passive earnings. grab the first coffee, and start to do the pending work (from the day before, or the on going project) check the rankings of my customers second coffee, then the routine work linked to my activities. at 12 pm, i do some physical exercises to stay fit, if not i do them at 23pm. i work on 2 desktop pc plugged on a 24 inches screen + a 19" and a 40". an android smartphone when i have to do business meetings, and a netbook if i know i'll wait ages mainly to write articles. i work until 20pm generally, or a bit sooner if basketball training. i get back to it from 23pm to 2am or more if new emergencies kicked in. i work 7 days/7. |
