Hi Brendan, Thanks for posting up a great thread! I enjoy playing most sports such as oztag, touch football, tennis in my spare time! I am also a passionate rugby league supporter so I enjoy going to watch some live games whenever I can. Besides that I enjoy writing in my journal, watching comedy tv shows, reading, cooking and spending time with family and my dogs

Default What are your hobbies?
So we are all flat out getting our business set up, running them or being entrepreneurial in some way.. but what do you do to get away from it all? What hobbies do you have? Play any sports, travel, anything in particular?

I'm with you a good comedy movie or leave the computer at home and go and sit and have a coffee not in to the cake as some of the cakes today cost 6>7 dollars and aren't that good

It's the simple things that help me relax - watching a movie when hubby and kids are asleep for the night, taking my time in the bath, going out for coffee and cake alone.

Lately my hobby has been house hunting.. looking at houses, different areas etc.. It's great fun.

Other than that I like getting on my bike and riding around town, great way to clear your head, and good exercise also!

Hobbies... as a small business owner I rarely get time for hobbies - I'm sure most would agree - having said that I guess art (or is that more of a passion) and i'm keen to get into some woodwork

The lines between hobbies and things that might pay off in the future is very blurred.

Renovate for a hobby, but on the IP it is more of a business thing.
Tinker with computers but also fix them for money.
Run a hobby website but can also do those for profit.
Like to do gardening, but the IP also needs landscaping.
Plan A won't pay off for so long that it pretty much counts as a hobby right now.
And of course, we have a baby who tries her best to stop us from doing all of the above. Are babies work, hobby or business?

Hiya,

I spend a lot of time with the girlfriend; checking out new cafes, bars and restaurants, daytrips, that sort of thing. Hanging out with the boys, playing pool and poker and enjoying a few beers.

I spend as much time as I can doing what's *fun*. Life is too short to waste my time on things that I don't enjoy. Even my work and investing stuff has to be fun, or I'll lose patience and get distracted and find something else to do instead

I'm also looking to move house in the next month or so, into a place out the back of the Dandenongs. Just somewhere quiet that I can escape from the world. Me, my girl and my dogs. Peace. That's the only thing that I feel that I might be missing at the moment.

Cheers

James.

One of my hobbies is Martial Arts, I am a 3rd Dan Black belt in Taekwon-do, and I often teach and compete.. its great fun and I have been doing it for about 10 years now.

I have also been doing a bit of yoga to compliment my Taekwon-do, this has been great not only for flexibility but has improved my concentration and focus

I also love to travel.. hence why I am in the UK, and love getting out and racing my cars :P

Radio controlled planes - yup I know I'm a nerd!

Getting outdoors is a great escape from the office, and furthermore, it's very satisfying to see a plane I built actually fly! (Even more satisfying when I land it safely hehe)!
