Can't let today go without mentioning an absorbing match although it cost me the best part of a day. Djokovic bothers me as a player sometimes. Brilliant when he's on top of his game but sometimes struggles to finish matches. That said, his record in Australia is fantastic.

Absolutely brilliant match and great to see the winner giving Nadal maximum respect for his part in it. Possibly the best open final of recent years that sat on a knife-edge until the very last game.

Highlight of the tournament was reading an article about Sharapova and a quote from one of her main rivals (can't remember who it was now) but it was something along the lines of "she's really tough once she gets on top of you".

I would really, really, really love to find out whether that's true or not!
