I like motor racing. My big thing is F1, it's the pinacle of driving for a reason, far more tactical that put your foot down, turn left, turn left, turn left and so on. NASCAR drivers dream of being in F1 and very few make it, that says alot, the best drivers usually come through go karting, F3, F2 ect and that is because it is far more skilled, oh and far more interesting to watch. If NASCAR was any good it would be interesting to more people than a select few United States, hell, even baseball and gridiron is more popular!

Ok. dude....

You seriously need to google Montoya....
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Juan_Pablo_Montoya

And Marcos Ambrose...
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Marcos_Ambrose

F1 uses lots of technoldgy and is not racing... its driving a computer around a track....

Nascar has a motor 4 wheeks and very little electronics compared to F1.. Turning left left and left at over 300km while in a draft is hard work, they dont have "traction control" where a F1 car just plants the foot and dosent need to worry about anything.... onyl thing they worry about is... i need to go around that corner faster...

you really have no clue buddy!

Exactly! F1 is far more tactical and involves using your brain more than driving round a big oval track.

F1 is boring. Not enough places to pass

And IMO you could take the top 10 drivers and give them different cars and the same car would be the winner every time.

They are amazing machines but the driver seems to just be along for the ride.

I'd like to see you drive an F1, no, I'll make it more simple, just get one moving. Watch the film "Senna" then come back and discuss this when you actually have the slightest clue what you are talking about.

Why is it that people seem facinated by cars driving in circles at high speeds ....but they refuse to admit the truth that they are really there to see the wrecks?

I like seeing wrecks during a race at a small-time race track, but to a point. Some races last forever due to one car accident after the next. After a while, it gets old (for me, anyway). And after a while, I want to see some racing and no more wrecks!

Dude, i dont think you get it so let me put it in simple terms for you...

F1 = high tech racing - drive of car does not do anything but turn a stupid wheel!

Nascar = Lots of stratagy. confeance, where to put the car on the band. and extream concertration and GUTS.... and more important on some tracks requires team work!!

F1 top speed - 232 mph
NASCAR top speed - 212mph

and you will find that that top speed for a nascar is RESTRICTED!

I would like to see F1 go around and around that for over 500 laps flat out faster than NASCAR......
