Danica did ok in the Nationwide race until she got wrecked through no fault of her own. She almost got through it.

You need to see that quote for what it is: Another Kyle Busch jab to Dale Jr. Danica drives for JR Motorsports. Uhhh...Kyle, that under-funded team? Yeah, it's co-owned by Rick Hendrick. No team of Rick Hendrick's is under-funded.

I agree with Kyle's principle, that Danica is getting a whole lot of press that she doesn't deserve one bit. But saying the team is under-funded is a jab at Junior, not Danica.

Danica won a shortened event. And "very good showing" does not mean crap. She won, or she did not.

Anna K didn't become a pro tennis player because she had nice tits. She was good enough to be pro, but compared to the other pros, she sucked. Same with danica. Sure, she can drive. She wouldn't be in Indy car if she couldn't. But compared to the field, she blows.

Yet she gets ALL the press. It's pretty lame. Danica sucks, compared to her peers, and that's really all there is to it. And until she proves me wrong (i'm not holding my breath), that's just the way it is. She's a hot broad, and that's really where it all stops for her. She'd do herself a favor and go the way of Anna...she'll probably make more money doing it, too.

Regardless, comparing winning an auto race to winning a tennis tournament is ridiculous. There are tons of race car drivers out there who have had their share of victories here and there who completely suck. It's much easier to win one race than to win a tennis tournament.

To that extent, it's a fair comparison. I'd say that Anna Kournikova is far more successful than Danica Patrick. On the other hand, Danica is going up against men in a male-dominated sport whereas Anna is playing against women.

And don't give Danica an excuse. She chose that male-dominated "sport"...no one forced her into it. She chose to play with the boys, and the boys have kicked her ass all over the place.

I still say that perhaps she should have tried to master her own series before thinking she could come to NASCAR. Again, can anyone tell me if she's ever finished in the top 5 overall points in INDY Car? I honestly don't know, but I don't believe she has.
