Turns two and three look the most interesting. Because they were influenced by Eau Rouge. The rest is a lot like Singapore, ie, the circuit relies on the backdrop to impress, because from a drivers point of view its a stop and go circuit.

Thoughts?

It's an impressive piece of engineering but the track is always more important than the surroundings.. and I'm not convinced. Why do they have to throw in a load of 90 degree corners? Up to about turn 13 looks alright but the last part is probably going to be pretty tedious.

Personally I liked Singapore and Valencia - it was the cars that prevented overtaking, not the track. Next year I reckon we'll see some much closer street races http://www.motorsportforums.com/images/styles/World/icons/icon14.gif

yeah, I'm not quite sure if it is a pure street circuit, some sort of hybrid street/track circuit or how the two long straights are going to play out.

50/50 on it now

Looks like a great place to hold the french or canadian GP

I guess there's going to be a second unveiling of an already terrible track...

I'm not sure any of those modifications are going to change the fact that theres still only one line through the 8-9 chicane, and through the 11-12-13 chicane. We will see with the Turn 9 modification, but I have my doubts. The chicanes dont appear to be getting wider at these points, and I don't think any driver came out of the first corner of those chicanes side by side without being immediately run off the road anyway. The mere existence of those chicanes seems to just be as a result of an awkward safety compromise because there's not enough room for run-off if the corners were simple square left corners feeding onto the following straights.
