Herbert to assist Stewards

http://www.autosport.com/news/report.php/id/83892

Now, surely little Johnny hasn't upset anyone, has he? After all, we've seen Hills character assassinated and some disgusting accusations and acts of hate after he tried to do this job. In fact, the people responsible should be thoroughly ashamed of themselves but that's too much to ask for.

Lets hope for a nice quiet GP.

Effofqueeno 05-27-2010 09:06 PM

well, lets hope on track action isnt quiet.

lets have a nice quiet weekend in the stewards room though.

I thought Herbert already did one race.
Maybe I dreamed it? http://www.motorsportforums.com/imag...ies/tongue.gif

He did indeed in Malaysia.

Should he not, therefore, be strung up by his testicles with a gauze hung beneath him to catch the grass and mud that still comes out of legs after his F3 accident........?

lapyignipinge 05-27-2010 11:29 PM

He still might hold a grudge against Schumacher for being better than him..

You mean Herbert was a match for the Shoe until Mike threw his toys out the cockpit and stopped sharing info..........

So now the stewards can make their weird and inconsistent decisions and hide behind another public face (although admittedly it's probably a bit difficult to hide behind Herbert).

http://www.motorsportforums.com/images/smilies/eek.gifYou mean Herbert wasn't able to set up his car on his own and he needed MS' data?!
I can't believe you just said that! http://www.motorsportforums.com/imag...es/biggrin.gif

He didn't say that.
Brundle made a comment a while back saying that Herbert was barred from seeing Schumachers data while they were at Benetton but his own data was being used on both sides of the garage. It caused abit of tension, and I'm not suggesting it was right or wrong.. http://www.motorsportforums.com/imag...lies/smile.gif

Where did Brundle buy his crystal ball, just so that I know where not to buy one in case I am tempted to write F1 articles. http://www.motorsportforums.com/images/smilies/ermm.gif

I don't think it has anything to do with getting information from a crystal ball as it has nothing to do with looking into the future. Quite the opposite in fact. Both Herbert and Brundle were teammates with Schumacher in the early nineties at Benetton, and both Brits are good friends. Maybe through their reletive professions they've discussed parts of their career's, and the fact they've driven for the same team might be a worthy topic? This isn't in any way a dig at Schumacher ioan, and lets not forget that this was very early in his F1 career where it was obvious he was going to be a star. Two experienced drivers like Herbert and Brundle may have felt they should have been the main focus of the team, but it was a similar situation back then as it was with Alonso and Flav. Herbert has also been very complimentary and at times critical of Michael in the past, and although I think he's a bit of a moron, I wouldn't class him as a liar.

PS. Brundle made this comment in his commentary and not as a piece of writing. http://www.motorsportforums.com/imag...lies/smile.gif
