Hi everyone, just a heads up to all you UK based F1 fans that the BBC's preview of the 2010 season is now on the red button on BBC One. Jake, Jonathan, Eddie, Martin & Crazy Dave have a chat about the new season and they rip the piss out of Crazy Dave for his blatant Red Bull bias!

My favourite exchange: Eddie Jordan getting all self-righteous about new teams and their potential ability to embarrass the sport if they can't afford to complete the season.
Swiftly followed by Martin Brundle reminding him that Jordan didn't always have funding in place and would survive from race to race. ![]() |

You can ask Eddie a question here:

I also thought Brundle made a good comment about Jenson and Lewis. Both drivers appear to have some kind of disadvantage or change within their environment since last year. Obviously Jenson has moved teams, but he has left behind his race engineer who is now at Michael Schumachers side.
Lewis has obviously parted with his father on a professional basis, and has had personal issues in the last month or so. Both drivers in effect have experienced changes, but Brundle said both seemed as comfortable as each other within the team. Jenson knew everyones name and appears to have settled in extremely well, but theres still that edge where the team has adjusted around Lewis in the last 2 years. All the presenters agreed that they feel Hamilton will outperform Button in year one but not by much. Beyond that is not certain as Jenson may settle in and be more of a worry, and he is on a 3 year deal.. Its interesting that MS has never committed to a 3 year deal in his whole career until now. As was mentioned in the preview, it maybe he wants to keep contract talk away from the questioning later in the season. Maybe he's only here for one season? ![]() |

Freeview lost a red-button channel to make way for BBC HD, so F1 will have to fight for space this year. And there's a world cup. Might be worth getting a 2nd-hand Sky box, you can pick them up for peanuts. |

Incidentally, the preview is on Freeview right now, according to my digibox TV guide thingy, and the Classic Grands Prix are on from tomorrow night at 11pm. ![]() On the plus side, all of the free practice sessions do seem to be listed on the red button channel on Freeview, at least for Bahrain. ![]() |
