I wouldn't say the FIA really present the picture of being the most tolerant of ethnic minorities, with most of the top brass being older, white men, some with widely publicized right-wing viewpoints.

In the past I have been called a racist for even complaining about something an Asian person has done, despite the fact that three of my best friends are mixed race, black and Indian.

I think we all just need some common sense. For example, if a black guy has a go at a white guy for being an idiot, he is not being racist, he is just pointing out that the white guy is an idiot. It's the same the other way round.

I'm not sure there is anything to suggest that Max Mosley is actually racist nowadays. Certainly, he was an enthusiastic supporter of his father's cause at one time of his life, but today I hope he is as tolerant of everyone else as he wishes everybody to be about his 'eccentric' private tastes. And, while he may not be FIA 'top brass', and while he may have many other faults, racism surely isn't one of those that afflicts Bernie.
