Default Volkswagen Polo
Is that a good car to drive/own?

I am considering buying this car. I don't particularly like French cars, nothing to do with French people, but I think they are unreliable and too expensive (for parts)

It's a cute car.

I didn't read anything about it being a French car though.

Here's a link for some info on the car:

Here where I live.... most foreign car parts, etc. are more expensive. As for reliability.... I have no idea. Sounds like you have done some homework on it.

I never meant to say it was a French car, I know it is German, but I was having second thoughts on the Peugeot 207 (a bit smaller than a Polo)

Smaller with good mpg is okay for most people. I prefer a size like my Buick Century. I still get decent mpg for what it is.

If I were in a smaller vehicle like that.... I'd really be a nervous driver. I know they talk about safety features and such.... but getting hit by a bigger vehicle would still give me doubts on my survival.

Yeah, I see your point on that safety issue

We saw one of those Smart cars at the store this morning. It barely took up half a parking space. The owner had pulled through and parked it even with the rear bumper of the car next to it. Looked funnier than hell!

Hubby wants one!

I told him it's only because then he will be able to fit it in one of the garages at home!

He has so many tools and parts and machines.... that we can't park cars in them! LOL!

I detest having to clear snow off of my car! (I made a thread about that so I won't say another word.)

Oh! The point is..... I told him I won't be a driver or a passenger in it if he does buy one. Unless I can use it to drive the trails on our property! He rolls his eyes a lot. Wonder if something is wrong with his brain? I'll make a note of that to get 'that' checked out too! Bwahahahahahahahaha.....

I have seen fat people in them, and I went "How the hell did they fit in that?"

Hahaha, maybe I shouldn't

Personally don't like how they handle the road, yup, twice the parking space, but annoying

I havent heard of this car too so had to google it

Based on the review of it's older model 2010- it appeals for comfortable ride, quality build and high fuel economy especially with gas prices soaring up high. The only criticism was it being mediocre-value-for money.

I suggest, test drive it then go from there. Everyone's comfort and needs vary- so go for it

Good luck
