Default Flexible top side - useful or waste of time?
In Jenson's meeting with the BBC after the battle yesterday he stated that the vehicle gets exhausted after four fly-away races: http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/moto...ne/8019491.stm and the case he gave (at 1:25 in the movie) was that the FFA (or FFAM) was not working. I suppose he's speaing frankly about the Leading Flap Adjustment (Mechanism). The possible lack of it demonstrably didn't stop him winning the competition nevertheless. I remember seeing some estimates from the handful of other individuals early in the day in the growing season also saying they certainly were not utilizing it (Lewis and Fernando in Australia I believe, but can't remember the origin I'm afraid). Taking a look at it from another way, I can't remember seeing or hearing anyone speaing frankly about having obtained an edge from using it. So might be these new flexible entrance wings a waste of money?
