I've been very impressed with the first two songs they've released so far from their new album Shields, wich is due in september. Sleeping Ute was the first song and now, they've released Yet Again as well...

Love Grizzly Bear, Ed Droste, his gayness and the music he has made. Horn of Plenty is one of my favorite albums ever! Did you know he named it after his asshole? He said in an interview that at the time there was a lot of action going on in his 'horn of plenty' and that's how the album title came about. On another publication he confirms he's a bottom. Anyway, I can't wait for Shields! 'Ready, Able' was my favorite song of 2009.

That definitely qualifies as TMI (too much information).

Anyway, yes, a really good band. The Yellow House album is a personal favourite. Looking forward to the new album and a live show at the End of the Road Festival in September.

I've got tickets for their Amsterdam show. The first time I saw them live was on a festival and a little bit messy, but the second show I attended blew me away. Veckatimest and Yellow House are two fantastic albums.

I really enjoy the album. It doesn't have its "Two Weeks" or "Knife" or "While You Wait for the Others" - but I think it's very cohesive and strong as a whole. My favourite tracks so far are "Yet Again" and "Sun in Your Eyes" but it may change as I listen to it more.

I'm sure the new album would grow on me with repeated listens, but on first listen it's all sounding sort of ... beige. I'm not a huge fan, but I did think their last album was rather beautiful. This didn't really connect with me on first listen, although it's certainly not awful or anything. It does end well, though.

The whole thing leaked about a week ago and it's really good. Still, nothing on Shields rivals the peaks on any of the previous albums.

If you think that's TMI, then have fun reading this 'interview' published on Out Magazine featuring Ed Droste and Owen Pallett (of Final Fantasy)! http://www.out.com/entertainment/200.../party-poopers
They even discuss the lyrics "c** again all over me" in regards to sexual preference.
