So the album has leaked (it was released in France today). Has anyone heard it? I listened to it this morning on the way to work. I need to give it some more time to make up my mind, but I do like a lot of what I've heard.

I'm really enjoying the new track, it sounds more streamlined when compared to the majority of Easy Come, Easy Go.

Just another reason why I'm continually disappointed that Marianne doesn't release more self-penned songs.

Had my first listen yesterday and I like the production. It's not as clean as one Easy Come Easy Go, but some more synths and samples give it a more organic feel. The Old House and The Stations are great so far.

I'm enjoying the new track as well! Let's hope the rest of the album delivers.

I've ordered my copy yesterday, are there other posters who've heard it yet?

As much as I LOVE Marianne Faithfull, after listening to this album one time, I have no desire to listen to it again. Easy Come, Easy Go was a wonderful album, but this one just seems like really really poor outtakes from it. It's not modern in any way, quite uninspired...Too bad, because she's awesome.

Sundance Ondemand has a movie called Irina Palm. Where she plays a woman who gives handjobs, apparently.

Really? I'm actually enjoying it. I don't think it is in the realm of Before the Poison or some of he other later great albums, but I don't think it sounds dated or uninspired at all. I am really liking her cover of The Stations

She is really good in that movie. I enjoyed it.

I'm liking the album, but I'm not really awestruck by it too. So far my fav is Horses And High Heels and the iTunes bonus track I Don't Wanna Know

Marianne's contribution to the new Fleetwood Mac tribute album: Angel by Stevie Nicks.

I love it. It sounds like she recorded her vocals for the song around Before The Poison because her register lowered even more after that album. But I could be mistaken

Nice track. I'm embarrassed to say that I don't know the original, though. I do like this Marianne version, though.

Blazing Away is my favorite Marianne Faithfull album. It's a live album, but the versions of her old songs (Guilt, Ballad of Lucy Jordan, As Tears Go By etc) on it are the best imo.

Here's the original for reference. I think the cover is fairly faithful to the original, but Marianne definitely puts her own unique stamp on it.

Wow, it's a nice song. Horses and High Heels is, overall, forgettable. I think this track is recent, not Before The Poison era, just produced better than High Heels.
