Default Ellie Goulding
Lights re-release called Bright Lights released this week.

I know there were quite a few fans of her debut back on @. Anyone get the re-release? I picked it up and adore it. It's completely sold me on the album, actually. The new songs are better than some of the album tracks from the original.

Love the new songs, definitely elevates the rest of the album. Do you know if it's getting released in the US?

More love for Ellie - just saw her in Chicago tonight. Despite being incredibly sick, the show was enjoyable. LOVED hearing Wish I Stayed in its gorgeous acoustic form. She promised another show this summer to make up for being in poor shape, but I had a great time! If anything, I love her more.

Oh, and yes the album was released in the US since this post The tracklisting is a little different but I'd say it pretty much takes the best bits.

^They are promoting an album just called "Lights" on American tv/talk shows. So, the American version of lights has everything that was made for bright lights, I assume.

Her accent (while singing) and her lyrical content remind me of Bjork. Especially the song "Human."
She sings about bones and blood. She sings about how a thing and the parts that make up that thing function.. that is very Bjork-like to me. I am sure Bjork is her primary influence.

That's a really visually distracting and annoying trailer.

New album out in the fall apparently titled 'Halcyon'

Here's the cover:

The first single is a Calvin Harris-produced affair called "Anything Could Happen," and should be out any day now. Lyrics here.

Wow - "Lights" is playing in heavy rotation, finally, on my local pop station. Weird when you release an album when the last album is finally getting attention. I will look on billboard to see where that single is right now.. cuz I hear it everyday on the radio.

Yeah, "Lights" is all over the Top 40 in Orlando lately, even though that album's been out for, what, two years?

I was just asking around the other day to see if it was on a big TV show or anything - it was #1 on the iTunes charts. Very weird for it to climb so slowly, but good push in time for the new album! Looking forward to the new track.

I asked the same question as you all. When randomly browsing the US iTunes store, I noticed it was number 5. Seemed to come out of nowhere! I researched a little, and it appears it's simply a case of it being around so long and just slowly gaining radio play. There wasn't a TV feature, soundtrack feature, nothing. So good for her! It's a fantastic little song and I love hearing it mixed in with the samey dance stuff we're subjected to on radio.

Really curious to hear the first single. I've slighted pop stars in the past for going with obvious producers for their singles, and Calvin Harris is definitely one of those producers, but I'm confident she'll utilize his sound with her lyrics and vocal style.
