I told myself not to make this thread, but after Gaga's pervasive media-dwelling forced me to stumbled upon and watch the You And I video, I just had to come back.

I'm only going to ask this once more, and then I'm leaving this sub forum for good since it's obvious none of you are willing to listen to my opinion. I just don't get it; what's there to like in Gaga? She's a vapid cunt of a shallow pop act- her songs do little more than pander and trick the gays and similar minorities into following her in exchange for what? "Liberation"? Art? I just don't get it.

After being forced to watch countless pretentious interviews in which she defends her "art" and her "struggle" to live in the LES on her daddy's dime, as well as each and every one of her terrible audio-visual onslaughts of music videos, I've come to the conclusion that no rational human being could like her. Especially not any fan of pop music, seeing as Madonna has done it all before and better, I might add.

At least Madonna had originality, and if you're about to ask me how I can argue that when Regina Spektor, Tori Amos, Sarah McLachlan and in some cases PJ Harvey are all very similar in that A. they are women and 2. play piano, well you'd be wrong, because Madonna is a woman performing pop music. Pop music is an entirely different dichotomy, allowing for only one Queen of Pop to perform at a time. I could explain to you the various subtexts and cultural instances in which this not only proves true but rational, yet I'm not sure any of you'd understand. I mean, you're Lady Gaga fans after all.

Also, this whole "homage" to "over-saturation" of media shtick is just such a cop-out. There may be only seven notes, but never more blatantly in the history of music has an artist copied more than Gaga. Evidence? Born This Way. Alejandro.

But I'm not sure why I'd even bother. You're a bunch of mindless zombies. And if you're a sexual minority, you're just a fool. She doesn't care about you, and regardless of my sexuality, I think it's pretty safe to say I speak for all of you when I say that Gaga isn't good for you.
