I used to own a honda 200 ! It was made in brazil .It was the best bike I owned and I have no idea if I can find another one ! I saw a Dominican riding one ,one day , and begged him to sell it .But he too knew how good these bikes are and thanked me and said no .So I am wondering if the knowledgeable bike people know y this road bike ,it is not a dirt bike , and could point out where I might find one ?. Thx

At that displacement you are probably looking at the dual use NRX 150 or XR200 with the street tires. Last I checked the 150 was starting at over RD100k. I have a Yamaha YBR 125 that cost me RD61k. It's not fast but comfortable and has a good frame and suspension. The max comfortable cruising speed is around 55 mph and a top speed of around 65 mph.

I am sooooo wanting one of these for basic buzzing around town, a Yamahanmmer TW200, 16hp of go-anywhere beefy-tired bliss, a mini-motard: If and when you ever do get a small bike we'll have to do a mini road trip, say Jarabacoa to Constanza. The really great about the small bikes is the lower speed and a good muffler means the ride is quiet and one can actually here the things going on around one. It's not too dissimilar to a bike ride but no hard breathing needed. ![]() |
