Default Help From motorcycle people needed! Honda but MADE IN BRAZIL HONDA 200
I used to own a honda 200 ! It was made in brazil .It was the best bike I owned and I have no idea if I can find another one ! I saw a Dominican riding one ,one day , and begged him to sell it .But he too knew how good these bikes are and thanked me and said no .So I am wondering if the knowledgeable bike people know y this road bike ,it is not a dirt bike , and could point out where I might find one ?. Thx

At that displacement you are probably looking at the dual use NRX 150 or XR200 with the street tires. Last I checked the 150 was starting at over RD100k. I have a Yamaha YBR 125 that cost me RD61k. It's not fast but comfortable and has a good frame and suspension. The max comfortable cruising speed is around 55 mph and a top speed of around 65 mph.

I am sooooo wanting one of these for basic buzzing around town, a Yamahanmmer TW200, 16hp of go-anywhere beefy-tired bliss, a mini-motard:

That looks like a comfy ride.

If and when you ever do get a small bike we'll have to do a mini road trip, say Jarabacoa to Constanza. The really great about the small bikes is the lower speed and a good muffler means the ride is quiet and one can actually here the things going on around one. It's not too dissimilar to a bike ride but no hard breathing needed.

Could be, but it's a fine small machine for the conditions here...you could, literally, ride it anywhere...even on the beach...

And not too much worry about being stolen either....

I suspect after checking prices quickly that the TW200 would be more like $8,000 US here.

Richard's bike shop in Sosua has the 200 Hondas occasionally. Bought one at the Honda dealer in SDQ some years ago.
Nice bike, low on power. Sold it. One of the rent-a-bike places in Sosua has 2 of them.
