Default Open Borders?
I have a project that needs to start soon in Haiti. I need to send someone over to check things out and get some price quotes. However, I have been getting conflicting reports about whether the border is open.....both ways....

Anyone know?

Borders were closed on 25th of OCT, reopened on 27th, and any passing now the border is very restricted but possible, except importing used garments, footwear...
Thanks, Miloskorac.

Am wondering if anyone reading this has actually crossed the border? Are they turning people away (aside from garment venders) and how long is the wait to cross these days?

Lindsey, the DR-Haiti border is as porous as a sieve, if you don't mind getting your feet wet. I know of several paths across the Artibonite river leading from Banica into Tommasique. I you need a guide, I'll be much obligated. By the way, I have a bona fide NGO credential.
