I believe there is a giant circle and we all walk upon that circle and are reborn as many times as needed to perfect our souls.

I don't know if this is true, but I would like to belive it so, however my true goal is Oblivion...to never exist again...to be a black hole that sleeps for eternity never realizing its existance in the universe ~smiles~. Ahhh true rest!

Madgael! I have missed you my dear brother.

I just had an epiphany the other day. I have some friends that are very orthodox Christian. They firmly believe that they come to Earth and then leave to go to Heaven, never coming back again. I belive in reincarnation so you would be suprised to hear me say that they are correct also.

I have really been engrossed in my spiritual understandings as often as I have time to ponder. I have had a near death experience so I can offer that as much as thoughts and lives are different throughout, so is death. With that realization, why would reincarnation and finding peace in a Heavenly home be the same, could both occur? I feel that the answer is yes.

Stick that under your tongue and chew.
I think its all about believing in concepts that make us comfortable, and thats all that really matters

I am curious, could it be that some return to this world time and time again, and some do not? I have an understanding that we are all just light dust..and when the right combination combines, we have mortal life...how's that for interesting..or have I just put you to sleep.

i do believe but i'm not sure why. i can only describe it as something i know inside. i believe we write an incredibly detailed chart for this lifetime to assure we accomplish goals. and we include parents, siblings, friends, spouses, joys and tragedies, illnesses, likes, dislikes, good and bad choices and even exit points. but i do think i was someone of wisdom and knowing- i'm not sure what that means [it just came to me] and i will continue to probe!

As Seung Sahn would say (and me too it seems), " Don't Know."

Not a poll, really. I just want to know who among the tribe does, and why (or why not.) It's a lifelong question of mine, and I don't think I've brought it up here before, so here goes... I look forward to your responses.

Let's hypothesize:

What if there is a giant lounge in the next plane and there is a heiarchy of god types...and you get to review your life and then you make a choice on whether you want to come back again or face your own judgment ~smiles~.

If you didn't feel you lived a good life once you realize what a good life is in the true reality of the afterlife, you could just be reborn with no rememberance of this lounge or any other life ~smiles~.

However if you picked judgement and you knew you life was not great then your energies get passed on to whatever plane aligns with your energies.

This would show true forgiveness and second, third, forth chances from a compassionate deity...

But again it's only hypothetical ~smiles~

Oh to be sure it is all hypothetical.....or like the "Cat in the Hat" would say...."Is it......?"

The beautiful thing is that I am finding no me..and everything I.

LOL

I do believe in reincarnation always have and will,why....

This is a subject thats really hard to explain as to the why and how.
I am sure others can explain it much better the I.

I have had many flash backs from previous lives through my dreams.
For me its always just been a given, when there has been no other explanations for certain feelings, likes and dislikes.

I know in my heart of hearts this is my last run on earth so to speak.
I believe in it for the exact same reasons.

but i am confuzled at this topic as well... my spiritual side believes it, my other logical or "scientific" side has a hard time believing it. truth is i dont really know.. but i want to belive it....

Two men went to a Sufi Court to settle a dispute.
After the plaintiff made his case, the Judge said, "That's right."
Then the defendant made his case, and again the Judge said, "That's right."
At this, the clerk of court exclaimed, "They can't both be right!"
The Judge replied, "That's right!"
Moral: truth is all around us. What matters is where you put your focus.

Maybe, but I would personally perceive it as one would look at subjects in school. You may like English and Math but hate Science and Sociology ~smiles~, but you eventually have to do them all if you wish to pass! ~smiles~
