the Ah Nehs' Mahabharata and Ramayana said humans have been around for millions of years..............some examples...............
Ancient tools.......... in 1786, workers came to a bed of sand about 50 feet below ground level and found stumps of stone pillars, coins, hammers, and petrified wooden tools. The sand was beneath a layer of limestone dated at 300 million years old. Bones in rock........... Ed Conrad found fossilized human bones embedded in solid shale rock in Pennsylvania. The rock in which they were trapped is between 280 and 300 million years old. Spark plug......... In 1961, owner of a shop in California found a fossil-encrusted geode. When the owner cut the geode with a diamond saw, he found an object inside that had a metal core surrounded by layers of a ceramic-like material and a hexagonal wooden sleeve. The object resembled a modern spark plug yet it was encased in a geode estimated to be 500,000 years old. Very old nail......... In 1851, Hiram de Witt found a fist-sized chunk of auriferous quartz while on a trip to California. When it slipped from his hands, it split open, and out fell a cut-iron nail. The quartz was about 1 million years old. Ancient nanotechnology........ In 1991, gold prospectors in Russia found spiral-shaped objects, the smallest measuring about 1/10,000th of an inch! Tests showed the objects to be between 20,000 and 318,000 years old. Old screw.......... In 1865, a two-inch metal screw was discovered in a piece of feldspar unearthed from Nevada. The screw had long oxidized, but its form - particularly the shape of its threads - could be clearly seen in the feldspar. The stone was calculated to be 21 million years in age. Mysterious vase......... In 1851, Boston Transcript reported about a metallic vase, was dynamited out of solid rock in Massachusetts. The bell-shaped vase was composed of a zinc and silver alloy. The estimated age of the rock out of which it came: 100,000 years. Chain in coal......... In 1891, Mrs. S. W. Culp, of Illinois was fragmenting coal for her stove when she noticed a chain stuck in the coal. The chain measured about 10 inches long and made of eight-carat gold, investigators concluded the chain had not been dropped in with the coal, since some of the coal still clung to the chain, while the part that had separated from it still bore the impression of where the chain had been encased. Ica stones........In 1966, Dr. Javier Cabrera, was given a rock by a local peasant. On it was a picture of a fish, carved thousands of years ago. Cabrera realized the fish depicted was of a species that has been extinct for millions of years. Cabrera found thousands like it in Ica, Per. On them were carved impossible ancient scenes: telescopes, open heart surgery. |

we are millions of years old and yet we are so stupid and so ignorant..so cruel and so barbaric. what happened along the way. we should be wiser and wiser not more and more idiotic...and stupid...sometimes we behave worse than animals...kill for the sake of killing ...simply kill and slaughter our own kind out of greed...and utter stupidity. million years old stupid human being!

Are you sure that those instruments that suppose to predict those ages can read them accurately? http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Radiocarbon_dating http://hyperphysics.phy-astr.gsu.edu...ar/cardat.html http://science.howstuffworks.com/env.../carbon-14.htm |

It certainly wont benefit you but it hell benefit those that are in power. want more salary? can you increase your productivity from 50hours to 80hours a week? see how they twist to confuse and obfuscate you.. a confused, ignorant or intimidated population are easy to control, and you can jolly well send them to their death to fight wars where the initiators of wars can sit comfortably in aircon room drinking fine wine, while the sons of SG fought, bleed and die for the leader's cause. a good example is the north korean leader. so... do you really want to know the real reality and truth? then start asking real questions and fight to come out from that thick fogs which the govt controlled medias try to confuse you. nothing is more liberating than to be aware of what reality is, realizing you have only one shot in life, nothing comes after that, and you have to live it to the fullest, and not suffer so as to benefit others. |

![]() [COLOR=#C0C0C8 !important] ANTHROPOLOGY [COLOR=#8C8C8C !important]BY ALASDAIR WILKINS APR 2, 2012 2:30 PM Ancient hominins definitely used fire at least a million years ago Fire is one of the most important innovations in humanity's evolutionary history, but it's also one of the most mysterious. It leaves almost no trace in the archaeological record, and it's often impossible to determine when humans began controlling fire. As such, the range of dates for when humans - or our evolutionary ancestors - first turned fire from a natural phenomenon to a tool is ridiculously large, spanning anywhere from 1.7 million years ago to as recently as 400,000. Both of these times long predate the emergence of Homo sapiens about 200,000 years ago, but they represent the extreme endpoints of the existence ofHomo erectus, the hominin species that most likely was the first to wield the flame. That's why a new discovery in South Africa's Wonderwerk Cave is so crucial. A massive cave on the edge of the Kalahari Desert, Wonderwerk was inhabited by hominins for hundreds of thousands of years. A newly excavated layer dating back about one million years ago reveals clear evidence of ashed plants and burned bones. These microscopic traces were found alongside those of stone tools, suggesting a link with the cave's hominin occupants. What's more, the artifacts were found deep enough in the cave that the fire was almost certainly started intentionally, rather than carried into the cave by wind or water. The surrounding surfaces from that time period also showed signs of discoloration that are typical of frequent fires. All the evidence suggests the hominins that occupied this cave a million years ago used fire. Whether they had actually mastered it is another question. The lead excavator, Michael Chazan of the University of Toronto, think it's more likely that the Homo erectus of Wonderwerk simply happened upon wildfires and carried them inside the cave, making opportunistic use of the fire rather than actively controlling it. Even so, Chazan speculates that these still essentially accidental fires could have had a major impact on the residents of Wonderwerk and hominins in similar circumstances elsewhere:"The control of fire would have been a major turning point in human evolution. The impact of cooking food is well documented, but the impact of control over fire would have touched all elements of human society. Socializing around a camp fire might actually be an essential aspect of what makes us human."The confirmed use of fire at least a million years ago is a big deal, but it's still a far cry from hypotheses that call for the use of fire as early as 1.9 million years ago. Favored by Harvard's Richard Wrangham, this idea holds that fire and cooking foods actually helped reshape our evolutionary path by freeing up energy that could be used to sustain bigger brains. While Wonderwerk pushes back the confirmed timeline, it doesn't exactly help the hypothesis, considering all the new evidence argues for opportunistic, occasional use of fire, not the sort of thing likely to jumpstart major physiological adaptations.
