Friend, a fire when deprived of sustenance is simply classified as 'out'. It goes neither north nor south, neither east nor west.

Hmmm,

I am thinking aloud...so you think we are all 'fire'.....and when we all die, we will be wondering aimlessly, directionless.

Yes, we are all 'fire'. But the fire is not 'out' when craving exists as its sustenance.

No.

In Theravada Buddhism, this is taught:

When this is, that is.
When this isn't, that isn't.

All phenomena are not-self.

Rony tan is right, blind leading the blind.

Buddha himself acknowledge he cannot attain enlightenment because he has desire to do such.

Hence, he is unsure of himself. How could anyone follow such religion?

Go for the sure thing! The only one and true God.

Our creator!

Friend, 'IS' is one extreme. 'ISN'T' is the other extreme.

The answer is hidden in the middle.

Friend, you did not answer simple questions on Buddha.

1. where is he today?
2. what is he doing now?

Simple questions, no trap. Don't be afraid.

However many holy words you read, however many you speak, what good will they do you if you do not act on upon them?

Friend, when all phenomena are not-self, how do you expect me to answer your questions that assume the existence of the inviolable intrinsic essence of an individual? In Theravada Buddhism, your questions are invalid questions.

As I had said, when this phenomenon exist, that phenomenon also exists; when this phenomenon doesn't exist, that phenomenon also doesn't exist. This principle does not assume the existence of the inviolable intrinsic essence of an individual.

'All phenomena' refers to the five aggregates of form(body), feelings, perceptions, fabrications/intentions and consciousness. And why are the five aggregates not-self? Because none of them stays constant. They are fleeting and fickle. What is fleeting and fickle is undesirable and stressful. What is fleeting and fickle, undesirable and stressful cannot be the self. That is why they are not-self.

if that is the case, you too are also fleeting and fickle according to your definition and cannot tell where you are and what you are doing now right?

Christianity is not about deeds and acts but more importantly faith.

If it were anything like doing good deeds to gain salvation, that is like any other religion.

If humans can set the universal rule, why do we need God because we are god ourselves!

If we are god, why do we need to do such things?

Think about it!

For fuck's sake! Stop conflating us rational atheists with those irrational spiritualists!

Atheist: 1+1 = 2

Buddhist: 1+1 = 1. What is + if not a rotated x? Don't be so attached to mathematical symbols
