"And the Lord God said, let he who uses wrong speech be considered an abomination for all days, and let him not enter the Kingdom of God but suffer in the darkness." - Jubilations 12:15

C'mon what's more important? Your theology or your ability to attack people's grammar with Scripture?

I think it may be worth converting just to have that verse in my back pocket at all times.

Good advice. Way too many Christians treat homosexuals poorly.

Indeed. Let us all judge them, for treating homosexuals poorly is a different sin from our own.

I sin, and I admit it is sin. The homosexual sins, but does not admit it is sin.
Pointing something out as sin is not judging, it is informing, no judgement is involved. If they want to go on sinning, fine by me, just don't deny it as sin.

So you point it out once and move on. I think most homosexuals know most Christians consider gay sex as a sin. The problem is when we remind them every day or are rude to them. I like the sign because it reminds us we are all sinners and sin is no reason to treat someone poorly.

Personally I think it should only be pointed out to an individual within a church/Christian fellowship setting in which they are voluntarily and even then it should be done with love and not condemnation. I don't think there is any real reason to point it out to someone who is not even interested in Christianity to begin with because their biggest sin at that point is rejecting Christ, all other individual sins in their life don't even matter at that point.
I have no qualms about discussions on homosexuality on public Christian forums, such as this one, because any homosexual coming here knows they are on a Christian forum so they should expect that most people here are Christians who follow the Bible so we will put a Biblical perspectives on the things we talk about.

I would amplify this... actions are only sins within the context of a specific religion/sect/congregation/fellowship.
Sins should only be pointed out to those within the fellowship because it is only a sin to you and among members. Voluntary membership is acknowledgement of the sin and members have an calling to work together to discuss these issues.
Outside the organization, there is no such calling, mandate, obligation or privilege to call out sins because there is not agreement on what universally constitutes sin. All that can be done is treat outsiders with dignity, love & respect and work to improve humanity for everyone.

The problem with that is that there are churches which call themselves Christian but which completely ignore certain parts of the Bible in favor of a more seeker-friendly message or some sort of personal agenda. As Christians it is our job to Biblically correct wrong teaching within the church, the church being the whole body of believers.
There are many verses in the Bible which warn against false teachers:
2 Peter 2:1-3
2 But there were also false prophets among the people, even as there will be false teachers among you, who will secretly bring in destructive heresies, even denying the Lord who bought them, and bring on themselves swift destruction. 2 And many will follow their destructive ways, because of whom the way of truth will be blasphemed. 3 By covetousness they will exploit you with deceptive words; for a long time their judgment has not been idle, and their destruction does not slumber.
Acts 20:28-30
28 Therefore take heed to yourselves and to all the flock, among which the Holy Spirit has made you overseers, to shepherd the church of God[a] which He purchased with His own blood. 29 For I know this, that after my departure savage wolves will come in among you, not sparing the flock. 30 Also from among yourselves men will rise up, speaking perverse things, to draw away the disciples after themselves.

Make sure you are not one of those false teachers first. And even then, keep it in your pants..

Every Christian has to constantly compare what they believe and preach against the Bible, which is the only measure of whether something is true or false.
And even then, keep it in your pants..

Every Christian has to constantly compare what they believe and preach against the Bible, which is the only measure of whether something is true or false.
This is dangerous since there are many versions, in many languages, with several generations of translations with limited understanding of the true intent of the original authors. And even then, when the words are agreed to, well respected and credible scholars disagree on the final interpretation.
All that is fine and dandy as long as people realize they are members of a local book club and the local interpretations will vary. It does not make people right or wrong, it only makes them different. A false teacher is then anyone that teaches outside their sphere of influence.

The bible was written in Hebrew and Koine Greek. They're not exactly lost languages. If everyone had your attitude about translating ancient texts, we'd never translate anything out of mortal fear of getting everything wrong.

Not at all. But we do run a risk when we interpret an original source written in one language with 2000 year old meanings and conventions, into a modern language and then claim that the exact original intent of the author has been translated from Divine inspiration, through the ages and revisions to our personal interpretation.
Heck, scholars cannot even agree on the meaning of books written in English in the last 50 years... Before I would use some version of the Bible to call a stranger a sinner I would consider that.
But then again, I am critical thinker.
