Get big rolls of tin foil out because the author jumps to conclusions without any real thought(for example the author doesn't think about Credit Cards as a method of funding the $20,000 in guns and ammo), but interesting none the less. |

Hard to say. He is smirking in one pic and solemn in the mug shot. So that can change the look of the mouth. Maybe the guy had his lips injected as well? The left pic does appear to look like a drawing but it could just be bad contrast. I've seen several comments to that effect when the pic was first released.

My number one rule is Question Authority and second is to question their answers.
A full time post-graduate student has so much extra money he can purchase all this firepower? As well as all the home made explosive devices/gear,etc. Take note the shows him in an orange jumper.when he made the court appearance his jail garb was a burgundy color..... |

And he's wearing a white t-shirt under his burgandy court jumper and not wearing a t-shirt under his organge mug jumper. And he's wearing an orange t-shirt for his college ID mug. I'm at a loss trying to figure out how wearing different cloths on different days in different locales fits into any type of conspiracy scenario. |

Just asking questions-t-shirts are not standard jail house issue...and in most jails-they only issue two types of garb -one for "normal" inmates and the other type for trustees..and where did the orginal ID pic come from?-it certainly looks computer generated to me..........? Re the different jail garb - I don't work for any judicial system so I'm best guessing here, but it's seems reasonable that different levels of detainees have different jumpers. When he was booked and his mug taken, he could have been a city/county detainee at that time and then upgraded to a federal detainee by the time he had to make his first court appearance. ETA: just finished reading up a little on the meaning of different colors for detainee jumpers. The basic gist is that every detention facility is different and uses different colors to denote different things. In one facility an orange jumpsuit may denote a detainee who has already been sentenced (or not sentenced), in another facility it's worn only by detainees who are in transit or in public, in another it means he's high risk or high threat. |

I'm guessing the orig college ID mug is something the news media dug up to get on the air asap since the Aurora PD stated they didn't know when they would release his booking mug shot. As far as looking computer generated - my guess is that a lot of quality was lost in reproduction/editing for distribution; and college, corporate & driver's license photo ID's are pretty crappy quality-wise to begin with. Google "James Holmes" and select images - you'll see some images of the same ID that don't look computered generated. And you are right in some respects-the jail garb he was wearing could also denote inmates making a court appearance-for security reasons.... Another thing-he was dressed in swat gear with a gas mask-just how many people could actually point him out as the shooter>? |

If that were true-his plea court appearance would have been by a federal judge. Re different garb for court security reasons: good possibility (see note added to post above) Re id'ing shooter: I doubt anyone could point him out as the shooter. It's a good guess that the best eye-witness id will be from the person who saw him leave under the pretense of making/taking a cell phone call. Combine that with the police who can id him as being the one they apprehended at his vehicle w/ the guns & gear in his possession immediately after the shooting, ballistics evidence that will probably prove the guns in his possession at the time of apprehension are the same ones used in the shooting, and a myriad of other evidence that will be gleaned during the investigation, and it will probably add up to a very convincing case. |
