Interesting point Kay. Are these the same Knights Templar from medieval times? I would sincerely like to hear more about their modern organization. I was lead to believe that the order was disbanded by King Philip IV in 1314.

Seriously though, one of the best history books you can ever read is called
"Born In Blood". It's a historical account of the events known about the origins of the Mason Lodge and the Knights Templar (which dates back to King Soloman days). That's a great book that gets into all the political history of the world back in those days. I highly recommend it for anyone who likes reading factual history.

Another small factoid about the KTs...they were also the forefathers of the modern day banking system. Back in the middle ages noblemen would need a safe place to stash their treasures. Who better to guard their family ***els than the Knights Templars (who were the best trained and most disciplined army of the day). So they'd store people's money and guard it for a fee.

They became a very wealthy lot and would often lend money to the needy nobleman; at a good interest rate of course -- and maybe a future 'political favor'. Which in turn led them to be the only group during those days that could rival the Catholic Church in wealth and the Pope in political power. Thus....the Black Friday purge was orchestrated by the Pope.
Both Philip IV and Pope Clement V were dead within just a couple of short months after....natural causes of course.....
