Body: Okay Ya'll I'm really tired of the people posting tracker bulletins and installing trackers on their page. It happened again today... A "friend" posted a bulletin that asked for people to go comment on their new picture. I went to their page, and was immediately "Logged Out" of MySpace. BUT!!!! I looked up again at the browser URL..... It was a MYSPACE Clone that I had been "knocked" into.. complete with the same ads, the same look, the same log in box... etc.... BUT the web address said something like http://www.n0t hs.com/ myspacea1mpl3xu s So, the "Tracker" they have installed has caused a page forward... and if someone wasn't careful, they'd be giving up their password into this fake system. So, LOOK BEFORE YOU LOG BACK IN, when you mysteriously get logged out of Myspace. You could be entering yourself into a Password capture program caused by these stupid trackers. Websites can have two parts of the domain, and where they try to confuse you is the domain. They'll throw in myspace somewhere, but won't put it before the .com part. MAKE SURE you're on the right page when you log in! I'm sorry, because I value my account and friends too much, if I see you posting bulletins about adding a tracker, or the latest tracker... You will be deleted, no matter who you are... You've all seen enough bulletins about trackers to know that they are bad, but you continue. Ignorance about computer/website/codes is no longer acceptable. Do you REALLY need to know THAT bad who visited your page? Think about it.... you're putting a LOT of personal information on your page, revealing your connections and things you normally don't tell to strangers... that could all end up being put in the "Super Computer" that stores info on every person in the the USA. Don't you THINK someone would want to harvest this? Sell it? Sell it to advertisers? You could end up loosing all your friends, your profile "hacked" (we've all heard this happening lately too) or your account deleted. I've been on the web since 1993! I know what i'm talking about, and these codes are BAD! REMOVE The Trackers!!!!!!!!! Jolene Sugarbaker The Trailer Park Queen |
