I did the Curiculum For Living about 10 years ago and just loved the Self Expression and Leadership Course. In the years since, I have moved far away from any Landmark offices but still use what I got from the (SELP?) every day. I remember the promise of the course was "You will be living a life you love and living it powerfully". I have to say, that is still true all these years later. I owe a debt to Landmark and the people I did courses with.

I love the Landmark Advanced Course. It is amazing that, now in only 3 days, you can have the experience of re-emptying out your past and create whole new future and context for your life. It is amazing to be able to do it yourself as well as watch others do the same work. I love how different, lighter and younger, some people even look after the long notebook and sharing their story exercise. I also loved the conversations about reality. As a scientist, those conversations have brought a whole new way to look at, approach and think about any work that I am taking on.

I'm giving an honorable mention to the Communication Power to Create Course. What I found particularly striking there was the notion that my communication was limited primarily not by what I was able to say, but what I was able to hear. I was deeply affected by this idea that everything we see is given by making sure that people don't say a certain thing back. For instance, I really don't want people to say they don't like me, so what I say is more given by making sure they don't say that than in producing whatever result I'm trying to achieve. I started to say things afterwards without concern for what people would say, particularly with my wife (then girlfriend), and this openness led to us getting married.

My favorite program is the Introduction Leadership Program (ILP).
I took the program in 2009 and I am an Introduction Leader. It is the premier Leadership Program. I think it's the best in the world. Before the ILP I saw myself as a failure, I didn't like to be in groups of people, I didn't talk to my extended family, and I wasn't self expressed. Now I live in an empowering context that I create, I lead introductions to groups of people I don't even know, I am in touch with all of my extended family and I am fully self expressed. As a bonus, I have power, freedom and peace of mind. I love my life. Cyndi |

Count me in for another vote for the self-expression and leadership program. In my view, before that course, Landmark's programs are mostly about self improvement. The Self-Expression and Leadership Program is all about the contribution you want to make in the world, where you are going to make a difference. It gave me a reason for wanting to be a leader.

Graduate Seminar: An Invented Life: My Life, My Design
Scientists, philosophers, educators all have ideas and perspectives about what makes us tick. Through their work we've become more attentive to complexities of brain science, the process of cognition, theories of self, and more. Yet, with all of that knowledge, are we any better off when it comes to designing our lives, having direct access to ourselves, being in the driver's seat? In this seminar we explore these contemporary perspectives and take a step beyond them to gain direct access to who we are and why we do what we do, making it possible to think and act with a new freedom and joy—to live a life of our own design. http://www.landmarkeducation.com/an_invented_life.jsp |

So many courses hold so many great memories and insights and transformations. And as a Seminar Leader, so many powerful, amazing seminars. But the most transformational course I've ever taken is the Advanced Course. And these days, as a Seminar Leader, it continues to be the most transformational course I've ever encountered. Each Seminar, I watch my participants take that course, and they come out totally new human beings, it's always amazing to be with people before and after the Advanced Course!
Having said that...I can't wait for Direct Access to be offered in Orange County...a brand new course incorporating brain science, new media technologies, and simple steps to train your brain...bring it on! |

My hands-down favorite of the lot is the Team Management and Leadership Program. There's so much about the structure of that program that's in a class of its own. The fact that it's a rolling program so when you join there's a bunch of newbies like you and groups who have been in the program for 3, 6, 9, 12, 15, 18 and 21 months. The international spread of the weekends. You learn to work with people in a way you never have, and that stays with you for the rest of your life. Most of all the fact that you get to cause the whole Communication Curriculum and make a massive difference in the lives of countless people. Coaching on the Communication Courses is one of the highest ever learning and contributing experiences ever. And in the Team Meetings you get the experience of creating and leading the program by the participants in the program. Awesome!

I've only done the Forum and Advance Course and I have to say the Advance Course completely blew my mind! It was the best seminar I've ever attended. I could really see how a single individual such as myself can affect a change on a global scale. Exciting stuff!
The Self-Expression and Leadership Program isn't offered in my area yet but the new Direct Access will be held in Jan 2012. I'm looking forward to that one! |

Hi, I also attended the Forum in July. It was amazing. I have a completely new perspective on everything. I am looking so forward to the Advanced class in December.
I wish there were more ways for me to reinforce what I learned in the Forum on a daily basis. I have recently downloaded the audiobook on "Integrity" from iTunes and I am enjoying it. I think this is the only one though. Does anyone have any book or website suggestions? Thanks! |

My copy is in the mail and I can't wait for them to arrive! The Landmark website has a page dedicated to books written by graduates. You might want to check that out too ![]() |

I voted originally for the Self-Expression and Leadership Program, but Direct Access has me now reconsidering. It reminds me a bit of what Heartman says in mentioning the Invented Life seminar, in that in brings in contemporary perspectives such as neuroscience and how the brain works to looking at life.
As someone else said about it, the course has you realize that the more you work really hard to fix an issue in your life, the more you're likely to do what you've always done, since the brain will notice your intensity, judge that what's happening is a crisis situation, and pull for a safe, predictable approach to get through it intact. I've had a ton of peace of mind since doing it - I've really become aware that most of what I think of as a 'crisis' is really minor, and not worth worrying about. |

My favorite course is the Wisdom Course. For such a "smart rat," there's no hiding with the requirement that I engage in ART; the collages, the displays, the physical manifestations of what's going on with me... invaluable, inspiring and uplifting. The course just keeps giving and giving. I've done it 3 count 'em 3 times! Not because I didn't get it but because it was so darned fun!!!
