Cherie Blair referred for professional conduct
Cherie Blair, who's now, unaccountably, a judge, has been referred to official bodies for conduct review because she vacated the punishment of a man convicted of assault and battery because he's 'religious'. Ermm?
http://www.timesonline.co.uk/tol/new...cle7014701.ece Ms. Blair has oft been in the news for her oddly pro Palestinian stances and statements. |
That's weird behaviour, even for the U.K.. I've always held that she's a bit flakey though so not really all that surprised that she'd do this. Controversy seems to follow her about.
The headline and following photograph are a good touch, someone in the times-online has a sense of humour. |
Well her husband is still stupidly defending the Iraq war. What do we expect, not very bright people usually marry likewise.

I support the Iraq war.

I'm also pro Iraq war only on the Kurdistan front.

It should be taken into account that Blair only helped invade Iraq because he was bullied into it by Bush. His beliefs regarding the issue are a mixture of nothing specific and whatever he has to believe in order to justify the invasion. He still believes invading was right even though no WMD was found and has said he would have invaded with no evidence of WMD anyway. It's not just that he supports the Iraq war, it's that was involved with the planning of Bush's Iraq war including no post-war plans to mitigate insurgency. Combine that with his hypocrisy of helping build Palestinian security forces which will be used for terror attacks against Israel. No I don't have much respect for Tony Blair.

I don't have much respect for anybody calling himself a Labor (or Labour), but I definitely support the Iraq war.
