Sorry Mark, but the problem will not peter out after a few months.
It has been going on for a long time now, as far as I am aware over 18 months , and was only two or three youngsters at first, but as AHV has stated the numbers are many more than that now.
It is understandable that some people may feel threatened by them. especially when they gather in the narrow passageways when people need to pass through.
It must be really difficult for the permanent residents having this all the time and feeling that no one is helping to sort out the problem.

If the police cant/wont do anything and they have keys to get in and they annoy everyone and they are just some kids, then why not get a group of people together who make it quite clear to them that they behavior is not acceptable.
Go and confront them directly and for effect take a big dog or two with them.
But make sure your spokesperson if fluent in spanish, because if not, they dont take you serious.
From our experience, that works very well esp. with spanish youngsters who live on the thrill that most people here dont speak their language.
I am not suggesting anything illegal - dont get me wrong- , just scare them a bit.

One of the ground floor apartments belonging to a friend has had grafitti sprayed on one of the walls in large letters in English. Now the owner has to pay to get it removed/covered over.

I cannot see that this is a bit of fun to impress the girls.

They were in the same place yesterday when I was there - all mouthing off !!! The houses where they hang around are BOTH for sale .......... I don't know about the one but I know the other owner is selling because he is sick of the hassel !!!
