Default Life guards
Have been reading the Brisamar thread about their pool and noticed someone mention that from January ALL pools whatever the size would need a lifeguard. Does anyone know more about this as this will surely effect every complex with a pool unlike previously when it only applied to pools over a certain size?

I haven't heard anything before. I thought the UK was the "nanny state" The additional cost could have a detrimental effect on the finances of many urbanisations, particularly given some previous comments on arrears. Will this lead to many urbs just closing up their pools?

Our urb has about 200 properties and two pools, so it has jumped to 40 Euros. Not a mega amount but since some are already disinclined to pay charges, I can't see it being welcomed with enthusiasm.

We have 109 on ours so the charge would be even higher!
